Clarence Speer

Clarence Speer of Campbellsville, son of the late James Rollin Speer and Ermine Smith Speer was born in Taylor County, Kentucky, March 1, 1913. He died at 6:18 P.M., Saturday, November 8, 2008 in Campbellsville. Age: 95 He professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Meadowview Baptist Church. He was a retired farmer, carpenter, and stone mason. He united in marriage to Cleo Steelman August 9, 1930. She preceded him in death May 31, 1997. He is survived by three daughters and three sons: Joy Bryant, Sharon Reese, and Billy Speer of Campbellsville, Betty Mathews of Edmond, Oklahoma, Bobby Speer of Altus, Oklahoma, and Donald Speer of Bowling Green, Kentucky; twenty grandchildren; thirty-two great-grandchildren; seventeen great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by one son, David Speer; one grandson, Kevin Mathews; two sisters and one brother: Emma Dowell, Elizabeth Speer, and Richard L.
