Jack Whitley

Jack Whitley of Campbellsville, son of the late Wallace Whitley and Beulah Eldridge Whitley, was born November 30, 1931, in Dayton, Ohio. He died at 9:20 A.M., Friday, November 7, 2008 in Campbellsville. Age: 76 He professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Campbellsville Baptist Church. He was retired from Fruit of the Loom after many years of service. He was veteran of the Korean Conflict having served his country honorably in the United States Navy. He united in marriage to Martha Frances Janes January 9, 1952. She preceded him in death May 14, 1995. He is survived by one son and two daughters: Barry Whitley and wife, Lin of Lexington, Jeanine Hood and husband, Mike of Easley, South Carolina and Kim Whitley of Bardstown; three grandchildren; William Alan Mann, Jr. of Taylors, South Carolina, Lori Anne Mann of Easley, South Carolina, and Benjamin Allen Whitleyand wife, Kellyof Orlando, Florida; two step-grandchildren: Eric Kelley and Kristofer Kelley and wife, Danielle of Lexington; one brother and two sisters: Michael Whitley of Lexington, Judith Overstreet of Campbellsville, and Beverly Blankenbaker of Louisville; two sisters-in-law: Carole Whitley of Campbellsville and Marge Whitley of Winchester; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
