Leonard Akin
Leonard Akin of Campbellsville, son of the late LeonardTaff Akinand Mary Lucille Gerdon Akin, was born December 21, 1931, in Glena, Ohio. He died at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, November 8, 2008 in Campbellsville. Age: 76 He was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church. He united in marriage to Geraldine Sowder in December, 1963. He had been employed as a farmer and an engineer at Pratt amp; Whitney Aircraft Engines. He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict having served his country honorably in the United States Air Force. He is survived by his wife, Geraldine Akin of Campbellsville; one daughter and two sons: Mary Michelle Fisher of Nicholasville, Leonard Mark Akin of Fairfield, Kentucky and Bernard Michael Akin of Deland, Florida; six grandchildren: Bradley Ledford and Leonard Ledford of Nicholasville, Hannah Noel Akin and Luke Mark Akin of Bardstown, Austin Tyler Akin and Jace Sabe Matthew Akin of Deland Florida; three brothers and two sisters: Ronnie Akin of Greensburg, Danny P.
