Byron Wood, 40

Byron Wood of Campbellsville, son of Jerry Wood and Dianne Giles Wood, was born in Taylor County, Kentucky, May 12, 1969.  He died at 12:20 A.M., Sunday, April 18, 2010 in Campbellsville.    Age:  40

He served his country honorably in the United States Army, having received the Good Conduct Medal, Overseas Service Ribbon, Army Lapel Button and attended Army Service Assault School.

He was an attorney, specializing in personal injury cases.

He was a Federal Firearms Licensee dealer and received his pilot’s license certification in 2003.

He was a cum laude graduate of Campbellsville University and received his Juris Doctorate at Salmon P. Chase College of Law Northern Kentucky University in 1996.  He was a member of the Kentucky and American Bar Associations, numerous other legal associations, Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association and Safari Club International.

He united in marriage to Sue Rockhold July 20, 2004.

Besides his wife, Sue Wood of Campbellsville, he is survived by two stepchildren:  Bradley Paul Clark and McKenzie Sue Clark of Campbellsville; his parents, Jerry and Dianne Wood of Elk Horn; grandparents, J. C. and Clodean Giles of Campbellsville, and many other relatives and friends.
