VERNON LARRY SMITH

Vernon Larry Smith of Campbellsville, son of the late Vernon Smith and Elizabeth Hopkins Smith Patterson was born March 11, 1941 in  Rockingham County, North Carolina. He died at 4:17 P.M., Friday, May 28, 2010 in Campbellsville. Age: 69
He professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Good Hope Baptist Church.

He was a retired industrial engineer at Fruit of the Loom.

Besides his wife, Arlene Smith of Campbellsville he is survived by four sons: Steve Smith, Greg Smith, and Shane Smith of North Carolina, and Todd Smith of  Virginia; two step-children: Suzanne Wilson and Marvin McCubbin Jr. of Campbellsville; eleven grandchildren; three step-grandchildren, one great-grandson; two nephews and one niece, Anthony Gammons, Rene Gammons and Michael Gammons of North Carolina;

He was also preceded in death by one sister, Diane Gammons.
