Paul A. Campbell, Sr. , Age 91

Paul A. Campbell Sr. of Campbellsville, son of the late Alfonso Hershel Campbell and Maude Florence Bowen Campbell was born March 31, 1919 in Taylor County, Kentucky. He died at 11:25 A.M., Sunday, August 15, 2010 in Campbellsville.  Age: 91

He professed faith in Christ and was a member of the First United Methodist Church.

He was a veteran of World War II having served his country honorably in the United States Army.

He was a retired employee of Tennessee Gas Transmission Company.

He united in marriage to Rose Miller December 24, 1940. She preceded him in death March 22, 1995.

He united in marriage to Sharon Humphress Redford July 12, 1996. She preceded him in death December 28, 2009.

He is survived by one son and one daughter: Paul A. Campbell Jr. and wife Carol of Cincinnati, Ohio and Carol Jean Velasquez and husband Fred of Charleston, West Virginia; three step-children and their spouses: Tonia and Johnny Allen of Campbellsville  and Kevin and Donna Redford and Charlotte and Tommy Farris of Elkhorn; four grandchildren: Paul Alan Campbell III of Frostburg, Maryland, Jon Velasquez of Charleston, West Virginia, Mike Velasquez of Pikeville, and Susan Velasquez of New York City; five step-grandchildren; four great-grandchildren: Zachary David Campbell of Cincinnati, Cory James Campbell of Fort Walton, Florida, and Arianna Velasquez  and Brennan Michael Velasquez of Pikeville; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by four sisters and three brothers: Lucille Stich, Grace Simpson, Marie Binkley, Juanita Beard, Merlin Campbell, John Campbell and Granville Campbell.
