John M. Silver

John M. Silver of Campbellsville, son of the late Everet Silver and Bertha May Hunt Silver, was born in Claire County, Michigan, June 17, 1927.   He died at 9:45 A.M., Wednesday, August 31,
2011 in Campbellsville.  Age:   84

He professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Elk Horn United Methodist Church.

He was a lifelong farmer who had many talents and worked several occupations.

He united in marriage to Carol A. Rose March 8, 1957, in Angola, Indiana.

Besides his wife, Carol, he is survived by one son and three daughters:  Sgt. John Glen Silver, serving in Afghanistan and wife, Jamie Rana and
Cindy Williams and husband, Mike of Elk Horn, Martha Harrison and husband, Michael of Campbellsville and Jean Carroll of Russell Springs; six
grandchildren:  Amanda “Mandy” Harrison, Lindsey Williams and Deandra Harris and husband, Matt, Brooklyn Carroll, Heidi
Sievers and husband, Brian, and Trenton Silver; two step-granddaughters: Stacey McFall and Nicole Fancher; five great-grandchildren:  Connor Sievers, Haiden Sievers, Madison
Williams, Olivia Harris and her unborn brother; five step-great-grandchildren:  Jacob Fouts, Joseph McFall, Issac Fancher, Caleb Fancher, and Lillian Fancher;
brothers-in-law, Edward Rose and wife, Shirley and David Rose and wife, Glenda; sisters-in-law: Lois Kothe, Dottie Alexander and husband, Frank, and Effie
Ryan; many nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by five siblings.
