Betty Jo Silas

Betty Jo Silas of Campbellsville, daughter of Geneva Phillips Corbin and the late Phillip L. Corbin, was born in Taylor County, Kentucky, March 19, 1942.  She died at 3:30 P.M., Tuesday, January 3, 2012, in Campbellsville.   Age:   69

She professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Palestine Baptist Church.

She was a retired school teacher with the Taylor County School System.

She united in marriage to Fred Silas August 4, 1961.

Besides her husband, Fred Silas, she is survived by one daughter and one son:

Joann Wethington and husband, Harold of Campbellsville and Glenn Silas and wife, Marsha of Portland, Oregon; four grandchildren:  Jon Silas and wife, Ashley of Elizabethtown, Chris Silas, Will Wethington and Shelby Wethington of Campbellsville; her mother, Geneva Corbin of Campbellsville; one brother, Norman Richard Corbin and wife, Mary Lou of Campbellsville; several other relatives and many friends.

She was also preceded in death by a brother, Jimmie Carlton Corbin in infancy.
