Bobbie Powell
Bobbie Powell of Campbellsville, son of the late Averette Powell and Ruby Paxton Powell, was born in Green County, Kentucky November 17, 1928. He died at 3:00 A.M., Friday, April 6, 2012 in Campbellsville. Age: 83
He professed faith in Christ and was a member of Bethel First Presbyterian Church.
He was a former employee of Anaconda in Summersville and Lake Cumberland Community Services and was a manufacturer of cherry furniture.
He served his country honorably in the United States Army and was a veteran of the Korean Conflict.
He united in marriage to Barbara Edelen February 6, 1954.
Besides his wife, Barbara Edelen Powell, he is survived by two sons: Steven Douglas Powell of Atlanta, Georgia and John Powell of Campbellsville; two grandchildren: Christina Powell of Louisville and Adam Chase Powell of Campbellsville; one great-grandson, Lucas Edward Vardeman; one brother, Jerry Powell of Greensburg; several other relatives and friends.
