Fay Touchstone Pope
Fay Touchstone Pope, of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Roy Henry Touchstone and Ruth Smith Touchstone, was born in Jackson, Mississippi, May 24, 1936. She died at 12:30 P.M., Wednesday, December 26, 2012, in Campbellsville. Age: 76
She professed faith in Christ and was a member of Liberty Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
She was a graduate of Mississippi College and the University of Missouri.
She was employed at the Mississippi State Employment Commission and Veterans Administration in Jackson, Mississippi.
She was a professor in the Business Department at Hannibal-LaGrange University in Hannibal, Missouri from 1966-1982 and also a professor at Campbellsville University from 1982-1988 and the Adjunct Faculty through 1998 and was named Faculty Emeritus at Campbellsville University.
She united in marriage to Dr. Kenneth Pope April 22, 1956.
Besides her husband, Dr. Kenneth Pope, she is survived by one daughter and one son: Robin Pope Santa-Teresa and husband, Ben of Louisville and John Harden Pope and wife, Susan of Danville; three grandchildren: Christopher Hackett of Portland, Oregon, Lydia Pope and Gabriel Pope of Danville; one sister, Jerry Lynn Kimmel and husband, Jim of San Marcos, Texas; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
