Dixie Mae Short of Campbellsville, daughter of the late John Denton and Mary Bishop Denton, was born in Hart County, Kentucky, February 18, 1922. She died at 10:15 A.M., Thursday, July 24, 2014 in Caverna.   Age: 92

She professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Mt. Gilboa Baptist Church.

She was a retired employee of Fruit of the Loom in Campbellsville.

She united in marriage to Turner Earl Short November 8, 1941. He preceded her in death in February 8, 1971.

She is survived by a daughter, Patricia Rogers of Campbellsville; one son-in-law, Lou Bingham of Elizabethtown; four grandchildren: Eric Phillips and wife, Lorie of Campbellsville, Camille Turner and husband, Tommy of Magnolia, Robin Hunt and husband, Dale of Elizabethtown and Amy Medley and husband, Jeff of Louisville; eleven great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Rebecca Short Bingham and three brothers and one sister: Sam Denton, Tom Denton, Bud Denton and Dorothy Edwards.
