Kay Delphine Hobbs, 82

Kay Delphine Hobbs, the daughter of the late Ola and Bernice (Hood) Boston, was born Monday, November 11, 1935 in Canmer, KY, in Hart County, and departed this life on Friday, April 20, 2018 in Greenwood, Indiana at St. Francis Hospital. She was 82 years, 5 months and 10 days of age.
She was a caretaker for elderly women in her home for many years and was very active in church when her health allowed. She enjoyed reading, gardening and was a talented piano player and was of the Baptist Faith.
She leaves to cherish her memory: two sons and a daughter: Bill Kappus and Chuck Kappus, both of Indianapolis and Shelly Helmon and husband Pat of Louisville; two sisters and two brothers: Korine Whitley of Campbellsville, Charles Boston of Greenwood, Indiana, Kodelia Swears of Mt. Washington and Robert Boston of Campbellsville.
Also eight grandchildren: Steven Sorley (Megan), Laura Harland, Christopher Kappus (Stephanie), Matthew Kappus, Jacquelyn Kappus, Drew Helmon, Ian Helmon, Griffin Helmon; seven great-grandchildren: Alston Sorley, Conner Woodward, Paisley Sorley, Haven Sorley, Olivia Harland, Abigail Carter, Bodhi Kappus and a host of other relatives and friends.
Mrs. Hobbs was also preceded in death by four siblings: Kathryn Arvin, Kenneth Boston, Koretta Johnson and D.K. “Bud” Boston.
The funeral service for Kay Delphine Hobbs will be Sunday, April 29, 2018 at 1:00 P.M. in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home in Campbellsville with burial to follow in the Boston Cemetery in Green County. Bro. Robert Boston will be officiating.
Family requests visitation after 10:00 A.M. Sunday until time for the service at the funeral home.
