Doris Aliene (Herron) Rector, 79

Doris Aliene Rector of Columbia, the daughter of the late Robert Leslie and Hazel Emma Campbell Herron, was born Thursday, December 22, 1939 in Campbellsville and departed this life on Thursday, April 26, 2018 in Lexington at the UK Medical Center. She was 79 years, 4 months and 5 days of age.
She had made a profession of Faith in Christ and was of the Pentecostal Faith. She enjoyed reading the Bible and spending time with family and friends and was a homemaker.
She united in marriage to John Wesley “JW” Rector, who preceded her in death. Besides her father she was preceded in death by a son: Robert Hunt; five brothers: Bill Herron, Roy Herron, Larry Herron, Danny Herron and James Robert Herron and two sisters: Mary Lou Langelier and Shirley O’Banion.
Survivors include: Survivors include a son: Stephen Hunt and wife Marcia of Sullivan, Indiana; six sisters: Helen South of Indiana, Brenda Forshier, Barbara Gastent and JoAnn Alexander, all of Illinois, Janet JeRue and Linda Gaskins, both of Columbia; three brothers: Jeffrey Herron of Columbia, Bobby Herron and Gene Herron both of Illinois and a host of other relatives and friends.
The funeral service for Doris Aliene Rector will be Saturday, April 28, 2018 at 1:00 P.M. in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home in Campbellsville with burial to follow in the Brookside Cemetery.
Visitation after 10:30 A.M. Saturday at the funeral home.
