Harold T. Mills

Mr. Harold T. Mills of Campbellsville passed from this life on Wednesday, December 5, 2018 at the Campbellsville Nursing and Rehab Center after an extended illness. Born on October 1, 1935 to the late Leonard Emmitt and Evie Susan (Shofner) Mills, he was 83 years, 2 months, and 5 days of age. He was the beloved husband of Mrs. Barbara Ann (Chapman) Mills, who preceded him in death on October 17, 2018. He made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of Meadowview Baptist Church. He had a sincere love for his God, and served many years as a deacon and treasurer of the church. Mr. Mills was a retired employee of GTE and an auto parts dealer. Always humble, he rarely took credit for his many good deeds, including his honorable time served in the United States Army and the Kentucky National Guard. Mr. Mills took pleasure in raising a garden, and had a talent for growing the biggest and best tomatoes around.

He leaves to cherish his memory:

Three sons: Jeff Mills and wife Sharon, Terry Mills and wife Pam, and Tim Mills and wife Angie, all of Campbellsville,

Nine grandchildren: Jonathan Mills and wife Whitney, Courtney Mills, Alex Thomas, Whitney Pyles, Timmy Mills, Jamie Mills, Nathaniel Mills, Dusty Long and wife Nikki, and Elliot Long and wife Ashley,

One sister: Leona Read of Campbellsville,

Nine great-grandchildren,

And a host of extended family and friends.

He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Kendra Lynn Mills; a sister, Nina Stamps; two infant brothers and an infant sister; and two great-grandchildren.

There will be a funeral service to honor the life of Mr. Mills on Saturday, December 8, 2018 at 11:00 AM EST in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home, 1765 New Columbia Rd, Campbellsville, KY 42718. Entombment will follow in the Campbellsville Memorial Gardens Mausoleum, 3878 Old Greensburg Rd, Campbellsville, KY 42718. Bro. Haywood Riner and Bro. Robert Morris will be officiating. Full military honors will be conducted by the Marion County Veteran’s Honor Guard.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, December 7, from 5:00-8:00 PM.
