Michael Lynn Burris, 61
Mr. Michael Lynn Burris of Campbellsville, son of the late Ray and Dimple (Corbin) Burris, was born in Muncie, Indiana on June 15, 1957. He departed this life on Thursday, December 27, 2018 in Louisville at the Jewish Hospital, being 61 years, 6 months, and 12 days of age. He was the owner of Taylor County Muffler, and managed its daily business affairs until declining health mandated his retirement. He professed faith in Christ and was of the Baptist faith. Mr. Burris loved being active and outside, and had a soft spot in his big heart for kids and family. His favorite days were spent golfing, hunting, riding the kids around on a four wheeler or golf cart, or traveling the country with his soulmate and wife, Deborah.

Four children: Colt Burris of Bardstown, Manessa Burris of Campbellsville, Christina Franklin and husband Paul of Loretto, and Christopher Sampley and wife Cathy of Campbellsville,
One brother: Ernie Burris and wife Donna of Campbellsville,
Ten grandchildren: Lance, Brianna, Steven Abbey, Mathew, Chrystal, Luke, Josh, Amber, and Michelle,
Three great-grandchildren: Kylie, Avery, and Sophia,
A brother-in-law: George Peters, Jr. and wife Rose of Rineyville,
A sister-in-law: Cissy Butzer of Campbellsville,
And a host of extended family and friends.
He was also preceded in death by a brother, Ronnie Burris, and a sister, Linda Jeffries.
There will be a funeral service to honor the life of Mr. Burris on Sunday, December 30, 2018 at 2:00 PM in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home, 1765 New Columbia Rd, Campbellsville, KY. Entombment will follow in the Campbellsville Memorial Gardens Mausoleum, 3878 Old Greensburg Rd, Campbellsville, KY. Colt Burris, Lance Burris, Christopher Sampley, Matthew Sampley, Paul Franklin, Steven Franklin, Daniel Bryant, and Joseph Cox will serve as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, Dec. 30, from 10:00 AM until time for the service.
