Imogene Spurling

Imogene Spurling of Mannsville, daughter of the late Jim Creech and Nannie Mae Phipps Creech, was born June 10, 1932 in the community of Lida, in Laurel County, Kentucky. She died at 1:40 P.M., Wednesday, March 13, 2019 in Campbellsville. Age: 86
She professed faith in Christ and was an faithful member of Jones Chapel United Methodist Church. She served in many capacities at the church, such as Sunday School teacher, church treasurer for forty years and youth counselor.
Imogene was a retired employee of the London Vault Company.
She united in marriage to Walter E. Spurling August 9, 1950.
Besides her husband of 68 years, Walter E. Spurling of Mannsville, she also leaves behind two sisters: Brenda Viars and husband, Danny and Connie Lynn Smith and husband, Bill of London, Kentucky; two sisters-in-law: Irene Benge Creech of London, Kentucky and Doris Bade of Indianapolis, Indiana; several nieces, nephews, friends and relatives to mourn her passing.
She was also preceded in death by three brothers and one sister: James Morris Creech, John Franklin Creech, Lowell Dexter Creech, Glenna Mae Creech George and husband, Robert George.
