Doris Lynn Ginter, 79

Mrs. Doris Lynn Ginter of Campbellsville passed peacefully from this life on Monday, July 1, 2019 at her home. Born in Lincoln County on September 8, 1939 to the late William Holman and Minnie Louise (Mason) Duncan, she was 79 years, 10 months, and 23 days of age. She was a former cafeteria worker and retired from the Taylor County School District. Mrs. Ginter had made a profession of faith in Christ and was of the Baptist faith. She was a voracious reader, often reading a novel a day, and that appetite for education helped her keep a sharp wit. Her kind and soft heart made her a favorite Granny, and she relished that role.

She leaves to cherish her memory:

Her husband of 62 years: Mr. Robert Ginter of Campbellsville,

Three sons: Brian Ginter of Franklin, Mitchell Ginter of Campbellsville, and Gregory Ginter and wife Sherry of Lexington,

Seven grandchildren: Amanda Glass, Zach Tyler Ginter, Graycin Schultz, Matana Schultz, Cody McCoy, Chris McCoy, and Cayla Norris,

Four great-grandchildren: Rachel Glass, Kaden Glass, Caroline Glass, and Lincoln Norris,

And a host of other family and friends.

There will be a funeral service to honor the life of Mrs. Ginter on Friday, July 5, 2019 at 1:00 PM in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Lebanon National Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, July 5, from 10:00 AM until time for the service.
