Ms. LaWanda Kay Smith of Campbellsville was born on September 21, 1968 in Adair County and departed this life on Sunday, June 30, 2019 in Louisville at the Jewish Hospital. She was 50 years, 9 months, and 9 days of age. She professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Pleasant Run Baptist Church. She was raised by an enlisted mother and lived in several places across the globe, including three years in Germany. While there, she loved to go skiing in the winter months and bowling in the summer. When her mother was stationed at Fort Knox, she went to camp every summer – and that was the only time she spent away from family. She was a graduate of the Fort Knox High School, and worked at Adanta Tenco Development Services in Campbellsville. She loved to sing, dance, and play bingo or slot machines, and enjoyed long, relaxing walks. Ms. Smith had an affectionate heart and loved people, and was certain that everyone she met loved her in return.

She leaves to mourn her passing:
