Mrs. Marjorie Sue Edwards of Campbellsville was born on January 11, 1939 in Louisville to the late Jessie and Ardella (Schmidt) Provenozano Purvis. She departed this life on Sunday, November 14, 2021 at the Norton Pavilion in Louisville, being 82 years, 10 months, and 3 days of age. She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of First Church of God. She was a retiree of the Cmapbellsville Independent School District, having worked primarily as a bus moniter, and a former employee of Fruit of the Loom. A very proud wife, mother, and grandmother, she also had a very strong faith in God – and loved her church family almost as much as her own.
She leaves to mourn her passing:
Her husband: Donald Edwards,

A daughter: Vickie Knifley and husband Rodney of Campbellsville,

A brother: Gerald Purvis and wife Margie of Buffalo,

Six grandchildren: Shannon Hughes and husband Stuart, DeAnna Reliford and husband Jason, Jessica Thomas, Justin Farmer, Amanda Jessie, and Brittany Mann and companion Jeremy Sprowles,

Ten great-grandchildren: Caleb Hughes, Logan Reliford, Isaac Underwood, Zachery Johnson, Ethan Knifley, Landon Knifley, Lillian Mann, Gunner Mann, Regan Jessie, and Brylee Sprowles,

A daughter-in-law: Trina Farmer of Columbia,

And a host of other family and friends.

She was also preceded in death by three children: Karen Sue Farmer, Sharon Kaye Lawson, and Robert Albert Farmer; and a grandson: Joshua Knifley.

There will be a funeral service to honor the life of Mrs. Edwards on Thursday, November 18, 2021 at 11:00 AM EST in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 1765 New Columbia Rd, Campbellsville, KY 42718. Bro. Evan Tedder will be officiating. Burial will follow in the Campbellsville Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, November 18, from 5:00-8:00 PM EST.
