Kaye Hudgins, widow of Billy Joe Hudgins, passed away on June 17, 2022 after succumbing to the effects of Alzheimer’s.  Kaye was born in Campbellsville, Kentucky and graduated from Campbellsville High School.

Kaye married Bill on July 2, 1961 and they shared their life together until his death in 2008.  After a few years of marriage, Kaye and Bill settled in Lexington to raise their family.  Kaye was trained in bookkeeping and worked for Lexington Steel Supply until Bill’s job took them to Goldsboro, North Carolina in 1986.  After several years, Bill’s job took he and Kaye from North Carolina to Germantown, Tennessee to Hendersonville, Tennessee and finally settling back in Campbellsville in 1995.  In Campbellsville, Kaye joined Wholesale Hardwood Interiors as a bookkeeper and worked there until her retirement in 2006.  Kaye enjoyed her retirement by spending time with her children and grandchildren.

She also enjoyed playing cards and dominoes with her sisters, Jane and Jessie, and her brother, Donnie and sister-in-law, Viola.  She also enjoyed her morning walks with good friend, Carol Mobley.

Other than her husband, Kaye was preceded in death by her mother, Emma Osborne, her twin brother, Ray Osborne and her sister, Jane Moore.

Kaye is survived by her two sons:  Joe Hudgins (Lynn), Lexington, Kentucky and Jeff Hudgins (Prim), Lexington, Kentucky; three grandchildren:  Clayton Hudgins (Danica), Frankfort, Kentucky, Joseph Hudgins (Paige), Norfolk, Virginia and Brock Hudgins, Lexington, Kentucky and one great-grandchild, Woodson Hudgins, Frankfort, Kentucky; two siblings:  Donnie Osborne (Viola), Campbellsville, Kentucky and sister, Jessie Lee (Jimmy), Campbellsville, Kentucky.

The family would like to say a special thank you to Viola and Donnie Osborne for the love and assistance they gave Kaye later in her life.  They both went above and beyond in providing assistance to Kaye, Joe and Jeff.  The family would like to thank the help Kay received at Bluegrass Way and Campbellsville Nursing and Rehab.
