David Monroe Whitlock
David Monroe Whitlock, of Campbellsville, the son of Sharon (Jones) Whitlock and the late Bill Whitlock, who preceded him in death on September 12, 2025, was born December 29, 1970 in Campbellsville, and departed this life on Saturday, September 20, 2025 in Lexington at the UK Medical Center. He was 54 years of age.
He professed faith in Christ and attended the International Gospel Lighthouse.
Besides his father, he was preceded in death by two sisters: Suann Whitlock and Pam Thomas.
David, alongside his brother, operated Bill and Sons Sealcoating.
David enjoyed fishing, hunting, knife collecting, racing go-carts, and, in his younger days, he held the record for the fastest lap time in the go-cart racing. He also enjoyed playing pool and was the former owner of Rack & Cue.
Survivors include his wife, Stephanie Rakes Whitlock; his mother: Sharon Whitlock, both of Campbellsville; his children: Steven Whitlock of Campbellsville and Ashley Blakey and husband AJ of Russell Springs; two sisters and a brother: Becky Cash, Tony Whitlock, and Trena Whitlock Strahle, all of Campbellsville.
Also, several nieces, nephews, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and other relatives, and numerous friends.
The funeral service for David Whitlock will be on Wednesday, September 24, 2025, at 2 P.M. in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home.
Bro. Ramon Hollins will be officiating.
Interment in the Mt. Washington Cemetery.
Visitation on Wednesday, September 24, 2025 from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
