Rodger Daniel Covey, 70

Mr. Rodger Daniel Covey of Campbellsville, son of the late Nehemiah and Phyllis (Camisa) Covey, was born in Middletown, Ohio on July 3, 1955. He departed this life on Saturday, November 29, 2025 at the University of Kentucky Hospital being 70 years of age. He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a retired construction worker, mechanic, and over-the-road truck driver. A talented woodworker, he also enjoyed time spent outdoors, and cherished the time spent hunting and fishing with his family and friends.

He leaves to cherish his memory:

His devoted wife: Linda (Jones) Covey,

Four children: Tammy Fisher and husband Michael of Franklin, and Ramona Burris, Doug Harris and wife Kim, and Chad Harris and wife Sheena, all of Campbellsville,

Two brothers: Albert Covey and wife Joyce of Hayden, Idaho, and Ruben Covey of Campbellsville,

Fourteen grandchildren,

Twenty-three great grandchildren,

One great-great grandchild,

And a host of other relatives and friends.

Besides his parents, he was also preceded in death by three siblings: Carolyn Covey, Richard Covey, and David Covey.

There will be a funeral service to honor the life of Mr. Covey on Wednesday, December 3, 2025 at 1:00 PM in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home, 1765 New Columbia Rd, Campbellsville, KY. 

Burial will follow in the Elliott Cemetery on Speck Ridge Rd, Elk Horn.

          The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, Dec. 3, from 11:00 AM until time for the service.
