Marsha Lee Estes
Mrs. Marsha Lee Estes of Campbellsville was born in Taylor County on June 14, 1957, to the late Chester and Laura (Glenn) Lawson. She departed this life on Wednesday, December 24, 2025 in Louisville at the Jewish Hospital. She was 68 years of age. She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of Lowell Avenue Baptist Church. Mrs. Estes was a retired preschool teacher and the former spouse of Mr. Billy Estes, who preceded her in death in 2018. She enjoyed spending time with her family and was often seen out with her grandkids or sister, shopping or simply socializing.
She leaves to cherish her memory:
Two children: DeAnna Cropper and husband Jeremy, and Laura Waymon,
Two siblings: J.C. Lawson and wife Peggy, and Wanda Causey and husband Jack,
Five grandchildren: Justin Humphress and companion MacKenzie Sprowles, BreAnna Humphress, Benzley Tucker, Bryar Tucker, and Hannah Cropper,
And a host of nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.
There will be a funeral service to honor the life of Mrs. Estes on Wednesday, December 31, 2025, at 1:00 PM in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home, 1765 New Columbia Rd, Campbellsville. Burial will follow in the Campbellsville Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Robbie Bell, Kenton Gibson, Adam Lawson, Bobby Estes, Ryan Tungate, Brian Milby, and Isiah Mixtega will serve as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, Dec. 31, 2025, from 11:00 AM until the time for the service.
