Jackie Lee Parker

Jackie Lee Parker, 77, of Elkhorn, Kentucky, the son of the late Paul and Fannie Willis Parker, was born March 8, 1948, in Taylor County, Kentucky, and died December 27, 2025.

He professed faith in Christ and attended the Mt. Zion Church of God. Jackie served his country honorably in the U.S. Army. He retired from Fruit of the Loom after 43 ½ years.

Jackie loved the outdoors and specifically enjoyed coon hunting. He spent many hours and thousands of steps in the woods with his dogs and friends. He was also an avid sports fan. He loved to talk sports with anyone who would listen, especially basketball and his Louisville Cardinals. Jackie also enjoyed spending time with his family.

SURVIVORS:

His wife of 20 years, Abbie Parker, of Elkhorn, KY.

One son, Joey Parker, of Lexington. One stepdaughter, Misty Burress (Bobby) of Campbellsville. One stepson, Anthony Brockman (Tiffany) of Campbellsville.

6 Grandchildren: Tyler Burress (Lindsay) of Campbellsville, Madison Hughes (Dalton) of Campbellsville, Chandler Brockman of South Carolina, Kelson McKinney, Bryce Brockman, and Scout Brockman, all of Campbellsville.

4 Great Grandchildren: Bryson, Tenley, Olivia Burress, and Asher Hughes.

3 sisters and a brother: Sue Monday, Peggy Hatcher, and Kaye Robison, all of Campbellsville, and Jerry Parker (Sandra) of Alabama.

2 Sisters-in-law: Cathy Baxter (Jeff) of Campbellsville and Ann Gabehart (Doug) of Yuma, KY

1 Brother-in-law: Bruce Harrison, of Winchester, KY.

Also, a host of nieces and nephews, and many other relatives and friends.

He was also preceded in death by one brother, Jimmy Ray Parker, and one sister, Betty Jo Cox.

The Funeral Service for Jackie Lee Parker will be held at 11 AM on Friday, January 2, 2026, at the L.R. Petty Funeral Home Chapel.

Bro. Jake Eldridge, Mark Carney, and Bro. Thomas Metcalfe will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Lebanon National Cemetery with full Military Honors by the Marion County Veterans Honor Guard.

Visitation will be on Thursday, January 1, 2026, from 5 to 8 PM at L.R. Petty Funeral Home.

 

Pallbearers: Joey Parker, Anthony Brockman, Bobby Burress, Rick Osborne, Doyle Sterns, Phil Hovious, and Kenny Willis.
