Wilma Ann (Clark) Abell

Wilma Ann (Clark) Abell, of Campbellsville, the daughter of the late George and Opal (Watson) Clark, was born February 12, 1956, in Taylor County, KY, and departed this life on Monday, January 19, 2026, in Louisville at the Norton Hospital. She was 69 years of age.

She was a former graphic designer for CKNJ and a member of Robinson Creek Baptist Church.

Wilma enjoyed sewing, doing artwork, and loved all her family and grandkids, and her church family.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers: Donnie Clark and Jerry Clark.

Survivors include her husband, Leonard Abell of Campbellsville; a son, Joshua Clark, and wife Amy of Mt. Washington; a daughter, Amanda Denney of Somerset.

Also three sisters: Clara Hord of Louisville, Ellen Kessler of Loretto, and Jane Kurtz and husband Bill of Campbellsville; two grandchildren: Kailyn and Airyana Clark, and special friends: Susan and Clarence Green, and a host of other relatives and friends.

To honor the wishes of Wilma Abell, cremation rites were entrusted to L.R. Petty Funeral Home in Campbellsville.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 31, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. at Robinson Creek Baptist Church. The family will receive friends at the church on Saturday, Jan. 31, from 11:00 AM until the time of the service.

Bro. Jim Collison will be officiating.

The family also wishes to express their sincere gratitude to the staff of Grandview Nursing and Rehab for the care and compassion shown to Mrs. Abell for the last two years of her earthly life.
