Donnie Ford

Donnie Ford of Campbellsville, the son of the late Leonard Coakley Ford and Flora Alice Lewis Ford, was born November 22, 1939, in Campbellsville, and departed this life February 7, 2026, in Campbellsville. He was 86 years of age.

He professed faith in Christ and was a member of Campbellsville Baptist Temple and was retired from Fruit of the Loom.  He loved to go to Bradfordsville and eat fish on Friday nights!

He used to love to tend to his gardens! He took great pride in growing the best tomatoes! After 25 years at FOL Bleach House, where he would sometimes work months on end without a day off, he retired and started a mowing business. Many of his clients said they had their own gardener because he was so meticulous with everything. He would always go above and beyond and take great pride in any job he did.

He loved his kids and grandkids so much and would always make sure he had their favorite snacks at his house!

He was a quiet man who worked hard and never complained! He didn’t want much for himself, but wanted to give everything to those he loved!

He is survived by his wife, Juanita Rafferty Ford of Campbellsville, and daughters, Donna Jean White and her husband Chuck of Campbellsville, and Lisa Hornback Ford of Elizabethtown. Five grandchildren, Brandon Shawn White (Amanda), Jenna Nichole Wethington (Shannon), Mollie Williams Tucker (Logan), Callie Brooke Hornback, and Chloe Brianne Hornback. Six great-grandchildren, Isaiah, Aubrey, Landyn, Avi, Margot, and Flora.

Also, surviving is one sister, Marjorie Deanie Price of Mt. Washington.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by four siblings, Raymond Ford, Mardell Benningfield, Rosemary Mardis, and Leonard “Starchy” Ford.

Funeral Service: 11 AM Tuesday, February 10, 2026, at L.R. Petty Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in Campbellsville Memorial Gardens.
