Doris Moore
Mrs. Doris Jean Moore of Campbellsville passed peacefully from this life on Thursday, February 12, 2026, at the Baptist Health Hardin Hospital in Elizabethtown. Born in Taylor County on December 28, 1948, to the late Lively and Nora (Allen) Vaughn, she was 77 years of age. She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was of the Pentecostal faith. She was a former employee of Fruit of the Loom and was known for her quick wit and humor. Her love for her family, her friends, and her flowers will be long remembered.
She leaves to cherish her memory:
Three children: Joey Sprowles and wife Ramie, MaDonna Lewis and husband Ronnie, and Jerry Presley and wife Donna,
Two brothers: Garland Skaggs and Thomas “Ham” Skaggs,
Eight grandchildren: Silas Sprowles, Alanna Elwood, Candace Pruyear and husband Garrard, ReAnna Hammond and husband Alex, Jadyn Presley, Gannon Presley, Dani Presley, and California Presley,
Three great-grandchildren: Alaina Pruyear, Kinsley Pruyear, and Grayson Pruyear,
And a host of other family members and friends.
She was also preceded in death by three siblings: Twyman Skaggs, Mary Clegg, and Joetta Vaughn.
There will be a funeral service to honor the life of Mrs. Moore on Saturday, February 14, 2026, at 2:00 PM in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home, 1765 New Columbia Rd, Campbellsville, KY. Her favorite son-in-law, Bro. Ronnie Lewis will officiate. Burial will follow in the Otter Creek Separate Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, Feb. 14, after 11:00 AM until the time of the service.
