Gary Wayne Gray
Mr. Gary Wayne Gray, of Campbellsville, the son of the late Howard and Mildred (Canada) Gray, was born September 19, 1954 in Campbellsville and departed this life on Sunday, March 29, 2026 at Taylor Regional Hospital. He was 71 years of age.
He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of Robinson Creek Baptist Church. Mr. Gray worked at Fruit of the Loom for 26 years and retired from Ingersoll Rand after 16 years.
Gary enjoyed most things outdoors, including hunting, fishing and horseshoe pitching. Sunday’s were family day at his house, and his family included everyone. If he wasn’t watching Jeff Gordon win a NASCAR race, he was probably trying to figure out who had the bird in a game of Rook (it was him!). Many a fond memory was made during those days, and those memories will be cherished for life.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by three siblings: Leon Gray, Lorena Cochran and Joyce Watkins.
Survivors include his wife: Patricia (Bright) Gray of Campbellsville; his children: Libby Richard and husband Todd of Campbellsville, Karen Lee and husband Ryan of Marion County, and Bethany Reynolds and husband Brehm of Campbellsville.
Two brothers and one sister: Donnie Gray and wife Patricia, Raymond Gray and wife Betty, and Mable Karnes and husband Ronnie, all of Campbellsville.
Six grandchildren: Blake Richard, Addison, Braxton and Kathryn Lee, Bruce and Banks Reynolds, several nieces and nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.
FUNERAL: Thursday April 2, 2026 at 11:00 A.M., L.R. Petty Funeral Home, 1765 New Columbia Rd, Campbellsville.
OFFICIATING: Bro. Jim Collison and Bro. Shelton Hale
INTERMENT: Campbellsville Memorial Gardens
VISITATION: 5-8 PM on Wednesday and after 8 AM Thursday until time for the service.
