Madge Banks Farris of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Benjamin Morton Banks and Audra Dillingham Banks, was born June 10, 1924, in Adair County, Kentucky. She died at 11:51 A.M., Tuesday, July 1, 2008 in Nashville, Tennessee. Age: 84 She professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Liberty Cumberland Presbyterian Church, where she was one of its oldest living members. She united in marriage to W. L. Farris, Jr. February 9, 1945. He preceded her in death November 5, 1994. Surviving family members include two daughters and sons-in-law: Diana Farris Kirtley and husband, Clyde of Washington, D.C. and Kathy Farris Hoeppner and husband, Charles S. of Nashville, Tennessee; three grandchildren: Melissa Kirtley and Harold Lewis Kirtley, II of Lexington, Kentucky and William Powers Hoeppner of Nashville, Tennessee; two sisters: Frances Moore of Elizabethtown, Kentucky and Edna Blaydes of Columbia, Kentucky; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends. text-align: center _________________ FUNERAL SERVICES: 2:00 P.M., Sunday, July 6, 2008 at the 2in Liberty Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Campbellsville 2in Officiating Clergy: Rev. Mary Lina Gilmore of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Thomas Graham and Kate Rice Graham, was born April 28, 1914, in Taylor County, Kentucky. She died at 6:07 P.M., Tuesday, July 1, 2008 in Lebanon. Age: 94 She had been employed as a nursersquo;s aid at Metzmeier Nursing Home. She professed faith in Christ and was a member of the First Cumberland Presbyterian Church. She united in marriage to Ralph Lee Gilmore June 25, 1952. He preceded her in death October 23, 1981. She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law: Lillian and Roger Purdom of Lebanon; three grandchildren: Monica Hill and husband T.J. and Joshua Purdom and wife, Katie of Lebanon and Myra Purdom of Campbellsville; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends. Danny Brown of Campbellsville, son of the late Jolie Brown and Ethel Stanton Brown, was born in Taylor County, Kentucky, April 12, 1949. He died at 7:44 A.M., Monday, June 30, 2008, in Lebanon. Age: 59 He professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Spurlington United Methodist Church. He was a former employee of Fruit of the Loom. He united in marriage to Carolyn Ann Sexton February 2, 1974. She preceded him in death May 25, 2005. He is survived by five step-daughters and one step-son: Sharon Taylor, Connie Lackey, Sandy Walters and DeWayne Baldwin of Campbellsville, Virginia Burns of Burkesville and Peggy Bowling of Somerset; twelve grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one brother and three sisters: Archie Brown, Peggy Bryant, Lola Sallee and Dorothy Rash of Campbellsville; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
