Raymond Lewis of Campbellsville, son of the late Lester Lewis and Nannie McDaniel Lewis, was born October 6, 1921, in Adair County, Kentucky. He was gently taken to be with his Lord and Savior at 9:00 P.M., Wednesday, May 28, 2008 in Wilmore and now rests in the hands of God. Age: 86He was retired from Fruit of the Loom after thirty-two years. He professed faith in Christ and was a member of the First United Methodist Church where he served as lay leader, chairman of administrative board and taught Sunday School for many years.He was a veteran of World War II and the Korean War having served his country honorably in the United States Army and achieving the rank of Staff Sergeant. He was a rifleman with the 8th Infantry Division and served in Ireland, Normandy, Northern France and Germany. He was awarded the American Campaign Medal, European Middle Eastern Medal with three stars, World War II Victory Medal, Good Conduct Medal, Purple Heart with one star and the Bronze Star. He united in marriage to Margaret Jane Trotter August 8, 1947. Besides his wife, Margaret Lewis of Campbellsville, he is survived by one son and daughter-in-law: George Raymond and Jackie Lewis of Lexington; two granddaughters: Abigail Elizabeth Lewis and Meredith Paige Lewis of Lexington; three special nephews: J. D. Blair of Charleston, South Carolina, Bobby Blair and wife, Bettie of Campbellsville and William T. Blair of Rockwood, Michigan; one niece, Carol Ann Forest of Campbellsville and a special niece by marriage, Martha Trotter Otte of Lexington; special friends: The Norman Christie Family and two surrogate grandchildren: Ann Morgan Tarter and Chris Tarter and many other friends.He was preceded in death by one sister, Ruby Blair and one brother, William Royce Lewis._________________ GRAVESIDE SERVICES: 3:30 P.M., Saturday, May 31, 2008 at the Brookside Cemetery in Campbellsville by Dr. Ted BeamVISITATION: At 3:00P.M., Saturday, May 31, 2008 at the Parrott amp; Ramsey Funeral Home PALLBEARERS: Bill BlairBobby BlairJ. Linda Renee quot;Clementsquot; Davis Linda Renee quot;Clementsquot; Davis, age 47 of Smith Chapel Rd., Campbellsville, passed away Friday at her home. She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas D. And Barbara J. Clements. She is survived by three sisters and brothers-in-law, Pamela and David Wethington, Gail Clements, Cheryl amd Mark Richardson all of Liberty, four nephews and one niece, Mark Wethington, Michael Wethington, Kevin Clements, Chase Dial, Ashley Dial, three great nieces and one great nephew. Martin Rainwater of Campbellsville, son of Sharon Kay Martin Herron and the late Walter Douglas Rainwater, was born July 10, 1969, in Taylor County, Kentucky. He died at 7:05 A.M., Thursday, May 22, 2008 in Elizabethtown as the result of a motorcycle accident. Age: 38 He was employed as an industrial maintenance electrician at Dana Corporation. He was a 1987 graduate of Taylor County High School. He was also a graduate of Elizabethtown Community amp; Technical College with an Associate Degree in Applied Science in Electrical Technology on May 14, 2005, where he graduated with high distinction and honors. He was a member of Local UAW 3047 in Elizabethtown. He professed faith in Christ and attended Oak Hill Baptist Church in Sonora. He was a veteran of Operation Desert Storm having served his country honorably in the United States Air Force as a sergeant and was awarded the Air Force Longevity Service Award, Air Force Training Ribbon, Air Force Overseas Long Tour Ribbon, National Defense Service Medal, NCO Professional Military Education Ribbon, and Air Force Good Conduct Medal with one device. He united in marriage to Regina Kay Price May 18, 1996. Besides his loving wife, Regina Rainwater of Rineyville, he is survived by two loving sons and two loving daughters: Robert Vincent Rainwater of Campbellsville, Justin Corey Rainwater of Rineyville, Lindsey Michelle Rainwater Vinson and Jennifer Marie Rainwater of Elizabethtown; three grandchildren: Jaiden Terri Vinson and Westyn Michael Huff of Elizabethtown and Tristan Robert Rainwater of Campbellsville; his mother, Sharon Martin Herron of Campbellsville; his mother-in-law, Glenda Miller Spurling of Campbellsville; his father-in-law, Clifton Price of Campbellsville; two half-brothers and two half-sisters: Jeffrey Scott Herron of Campbellsville, Jason Elliott Herron of Lexington, Dana Leigh Talley of Columbia and Patricia Sanders of Louisville; his loving dog, Ginger; many loving aunts and uncles and other relatives and friends. Leonard Ray Holt, 77, Ferguson Street, Mannsville, died Monday May 19, 2008, at Grandview Nursing Home after an illness. He was the son of the late Charlie and Annie Hogan Holt. He was a retired school bus driver. He is survived by his wife, Edith Holt, of Mannsville, one son and daughter-in-law, Charles and Donna Holt, of Mannsville, two grandchildren, Brandon and Brandie Holt, one brother and sister-in-law, Roy and Virginia Holt, niece and nephew, Karen and Allen Bottoms and Wayne Holt all of Campbellsville, one great niece, Jenna Bottoms of Campbellsville. Lonnie Brockman of Campbellsville, son of Lawrence Brockman, Jr. and Betty Loy Brockman, was born December 8, 1968, in Taylor County, Kentucky. He died at 5:30 P.M., Sunday, May 18, 2008 in Campbellsville. Age: 39 He had been employed at Fruit of the Loom and Wilbert Plastics. He professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Spurlington United Methodist Church. He is survived by his parents, Rev. Lawrence, Jr. and Betty Loy Brockman of Campbellsville; one brother, Michael Keith Brockman of Campbellsville and special friend, Imogene Brockman of Lebanon; two nephews: Steven Keith Brockman of Campbellsville and Michael Brockman of Liberty; and a host of other relatives and friends.
