Leonard E. Pike, 81, of Peterson Street, Campbellsville, died Friday, May 16, 2008 at his residence after an illness. He was the son of the late Burks and Effie Bault Pike. Also preceding him in death was one-half brother, Russell Bault. He is survived by his wife, Lennie Pike, one son, Roger Pike of Campbellsville, and one grandson, Ronnie Pike of Campbellsville. Funeral services will be conducted at 2PM, Sunday, May 18, 2008 at the Lyon DeWitt Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in Brookside Cemetery. Bro. Bernecie Wooley Russell, age 87, of Shawnee Drive, Campbellsville, died Friday at Taylor Regional Hospital after an illness. She is the daughter of the late George T. And Nannie Murphy Wooley. She was preceded in death by her husband, Morris D. Russell, one daughter, Maureen Russell Claycomb, one brother, David Wooley, two sisters, Irene Floyd and Ruth Wells. She was a retired school teacher from the Taylor County School System. She is survived by one grandson, Paul Richard Claycomb and his wife Lisa both of Campbellsville, two great grandchildren, Jacqueline Nicole Claycomb and Brittany Claycomb, two sisters, Geneva Cox and Leona Davis of Campbellsville, several neices, nephews and a host of friends. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 AM, Monday, May 19, 2008, at Lyon DeWitt Funeral Home with burial in Campbellsville Memorial Gardens. Bro. Clarence Bertram, Bro. Ted Beam, Bro. Thelma Burton of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Joe Henry Morris and Mary Belle Grant Morris, was born July 3, 1909, in Adair County, Kentucky. She died at 1:30 A.M., Friday, May 16, 2008 in Campbellsville. Age: 98 She had been employed as a sales clerk at Victorrsquo;s Department Store. She is survived by one daughter, Phyllis Blevins of Amarillo, Texas; one granddaughter, Karen Sue Blevins of Texas; one niece, Joyce Gumm Gaddie and husband, Turner of Campbellsville; three great-nephews: Mike Gumm and wife, Sandra and David Chewning and wife, Jennifer of Campbellsville and Randy Chewning and wife Dawn of Versailles; three great-great-nephews and one-great-great-niece: Steven Gumm and Allen Gumm of Campbellsville, Donnie Chewning of Texas and Linda Cross of Tennessee; one great-great-great-niece, Savannah Gumm of Campbellsville; special friend, Bill Blevins of Campbellsville, and many other relatives and friends. Johnny J. Jones of Campbellsville, son of the late Roy Lee Jones and Ida Fay Osborne Jones, was born January 25, 1931, in Beckley, West Virginia. He died at 9:45 P.M., Wednesday, May 14, 2008 in Campbellsville. Age: 77 He had been employed at Taylor County RECC, Jones Bros. Aluminum and Barnett Construction. He professed faith in Christ and attended the Campbellsville First Church of God. He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict having served his country honorably in the United States Army. He united in marriage to Audrey White December 11, 1954. Besides his wife, Audrey Jones of Campbellsville, he is survived by one son and daughter-in-law: Joey and Tracy Jones of Elkhorn; four brothers and two sisters: Lloyd Jones and wife Jewell, Bobby Jones and wife Geneva, Tim Jones and wife Kellie, Juanita Lee and Margaret LaPradd of Campbellsville and Charles Wayne Jones and wife, Cheryl of Manatu, Ohio; one uncle, Paul Osborne of Elkhorn; one sister-in-law, Roselean Jones; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
