He died at 3:15 P.M., Thursday, April 10, 2008, in Lexington. Age: 83 size=2He was a veteran of World War II having served his country honorably in the United States Navy. size=2He retired from Parker Kalon in 1993 where he had been employed as a General Manager. size=2He united in marriage to Mardi Christensen and she preceded him in death. size=2He later united in marriage to Bonnie Long Mershon July 26, 1983. size=2Besides his wife, Bonnie Greenawalt, he is survived by three sons and one daughter: Geoff Greenawalt and wife, Stacey of Frankfort, Andrea Johnson and husband, Steve of Fairport, New York, Richard B. Greenawalt, Jr. and wife, Linda of Pearland, Texas and Thomas S. Greenawalt of Houston, Texas; one step-son, Brent Mershon and wife, Peggy of London, Kentucky; six grandchildren; Andrea R. Sisson, Sarah E.
