She died at 8:45 P.M., Wednesday, March 26, 2008 in Campbellsville. Age: 88 size=3She professed faith in Christ and was a member of Liberty Baptist Church. size=3She united in marriage to Amuel Tucker February 22, 1937. size=2 size=3Margaret Johnson Turner departed this life, March 18, 2008 around 5:30 PM at Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown, KY. size=3 She was the daughter of the late Nellie Burress Johnson and Nathan Johnson. She was born in Illinois February 2, 1926, she was 82 years old. Sister Margaret joined the Pleasant Union Baptist Church at an early age , where she remained until death. She has been sick a long time and was in the quot;Golden Living Nursing Homequot; in Greensburg for three years. She was united in marriage to Lloyd Turner and to this union four children were born. She was preceded in death by her husband Lloyd Turner, mother, Nellie Johnson, father, Nathan Johnson, grandparents, Minnie and Jessie Burress, who raised her and her brother, Nathan (Buck) Johson, Jr., sister, Nellie Johnson, grandson, Dirk Turner, stepmother, Alice Cockley Johnson. She is survived by two sons, George Turner, Campbellsville, Ky, Robert Turner, Adair County, two daughters, Evelyn Turner, Campbellsville, Ky and Barbara Turner of Louisville, Ky, thirteen grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild, sisters and brothers, Wilton O. Johnson, George E. Johnson, Spencer Johnson, Paul H. Johnson, Carl S. Johnson all of Cleveland, Ohio, Harvey L. Johnson and James R. Johnson of Aurora Illinois, Mary H. McClough , Adla Handley and Ora Lee Johnson all of Hodgenville, and Brenda Bennett of Louisville, Kentucky. A host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends, survive. Funeral services were conducted at 1:00 PM, Tuesday, March 25, 2008 at the Lyon DeWitt Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in Pleasant Union Church Cemetery. Bro. Michael Caldwell, officiating.
