Exzilda Jane Sanders, age 83, of Dunbar St., Knifley died Friday, February 15, 2008 at her residence. She was the daughter of the late Joseph Thaddeus and Lena Agnes Wethington. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Sherwood Sanders, two brothers, William Curtis Wethington and Joseph Jessie Wethington, one sister Frances Ehrich Wethington. She is survived by two sons and daughter-in-law, Stephen Sanders of Knifley and Byron and Wanda Sanders of Campbellsville, three daughters and son-in-law, Freida Sandidge of Campbellsville, Karen Richerson and Marsha and Tommy Spires of Louisville. Six grandchildren, Brian Spries, Tonya Dunn, Mark Richerson, Natalie Brinley, Ashley Kuehl and Carl Sandidge, five great grandchildren, Amber Shuler, Madysan and Reese Brinley, Keegan Kuel and Luke Richerson, two step-grandchildren Chad and Josh Myers and two step great grandchildren,Will and Abby Myers, one brother, Marvin Wethington of Springfield, Ohio, three sisters, Mallie Irene Ewing of Valley Station, Mary Bessie Abell of Casey Creek, Martha May Campbell of Liberty. Funeral services for Exzilda Jane Sanders will be conducted at 11:00 AM, Monday, February 18, 2008 at the St. Bernards Catholic Church with burial in the St. Bernards Cemetery. Father Patrick Dolan, officiating.

size=5Chester Howard Humphress, age 93, of Robinson Ridge Road, size=5Knifley, died Monday, February 11, 2008 at Westlake Regional Hospital. size=5 He was the son of the late Richard and Mattie Cox Humphress, he was preceded in death by his wife Jessie Jewell Humphress on February 14, 2002, also preceding him in death were his brothers Walter, Earl and Elmer Humphress, sisters, Elizabeth Davis and Fronia Hovious. He was a member of the Christies Chapel Methodist Church where he had been a song leader, Sunday school teacher, and trustee. He was also a former member of the Adair County School Board. He is survived by two sons and daughter-in-law, Bill and Clara Humphress of Knifley, Jackie Humphress of Lexington, two daughters and son-in-law, Sharon and Paul Campbell of Campbellsville and Hilda Legg of Somerset., twelve grandchildren, Donnie, Mitch, Sonjia, Kerry, Tonya, Kevin, Charlotte, Christy, Jamin, Bethany, Scott and Dane, fourteen great grandchildren, one sister and brother-in-law, Zelma and Verlin Parker of Lincoln Illinois. Funeral services for Chester Howard Humphress will be conducted at 11:00 AM, Friday, February 15, 2008 at the Christies Chapel Methodist Church with burial to follow in the Hardin Cemetery. Bro.
