size=2Elna Nance Newton of Campbellsville, daughter of the late J. H. Goff and Virginia Nunn Goff, was born in Marion County, Kentucky, October 17, 1918. She died at 7:10 A.M., Friday, February 1, 2008, in Elizabethtown. Age: 89 size=2She professed faith in Christ and was a long time member of the First United Methodist Church. size=2She was retired from General Telephone Company. size=2She united in marriage to Claude H. Nance February 22, 1934. He preceded her in death April 13, 1966. size=2She later united in marriage to Ralph Newton December 28, 1967. He preceded her in death June 19, 1991. size=2She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Robert B. and Lura A. Nance of Campbellsville; two step-daughters: Linda and Ron Owens of Bradfordsville and Betty Anne Anderson of Campbellsville; two grandchildren: Robert Anthony Nance and wife, Teresa of Hopkinsville and Mrs. Steve ldquo;Greta Jordquo; Smith of Frankfort; two great-grandchildren: Danielle Smith and Clint Smith of Frankfort; five step-grandchildren: David Anderson, Marti Owens and Ron Owens of Campbellsville, James Robert Jordan of Fairborn, Ohio and Laura Owens of Lexington; one brother, Lynwood Goff of Louisville; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends. size=2She was preceded in death by three sisters and one brother: Kathryn Goff, Christine G. Cain, Frances G. size=5Wilma Katherine Cox, 81, of Elkhorn Road, Elkhorn, Ky , died Monday, January 28, 2008 at Taylor Regional Hospital. She was the daughter of the late Oliver and Laura Thompson. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wallace Lee Cox, sons and daughters, Raymond Cox, Jerry Cox, Maurice Dean Cox and Diana Cox, grandchildren, Jeff Cox, Christopher Followell, and Gregory Cox, brothers and sisters, Helen Barr, Ormay Sheryl, Willard Thompson, Edward Thompson, Mabel Thompson and Howard Thompson and son-in-law Billy Followell. She is survived by one son, Joe Cox, of Campbellsville, four daughters and son-in-law, Charlotte Malone, Melinda Bishop, of Campbellsville, Patricia Followell, of Elkhorn, Shelia and Randy Gabehart of Knifley, one daughter-in-law, Kay Cox of Campbellsville, eighteen grandchildren, Sandy Perkins, Missy Ford, Jenny Cox, Debbie Viers, Roger Malone, Jimmie Malone, Billy Followell, Jr., Kim Sapp, Tommie Hogue, Joey Cox, Candice Karnes, Bridgett Jenkins, Tracy Nix, Anthony Cox, Amanda Huckaby, Lori Gabehart, Amy Fair, Tyler Humphress, seventeen great grandchildren, five step great grandchildren, two great-great- grandchildren, three step-great-great grandchildren, two brothers and sisters-in-law, Charles and Mildred Thompson of Campbellsville, James and Joyce Thompson of Tennessee, three sisters and brothers-in-law, Sherry and Loyal Stayton of Oklahoma, Viola and Tom Murray of Texas, Margie and Rodney Cox of Campbellsville. He died at 10:25 P.M., Tuesday, January 29, 2008, in Elizabethtown after a long illness. Age: 88 size=2He professed faith in Christ and was of the Baptist faith. size=2He was a retired truck driver having driven over forty-four years. size=2He united in marriage to Bernice Wise June 2, 1945. He died at 3:05 A.M., Wednesday, January 30, 2008, in Campbellsville. size=2Age: 96 size=2He professed faith in Christ and was a member of Caldwell Ridge Separate Baptist Church. size=2He was a retired farmer. size=2He was a veteran of World War II having served his country honorably in the United States Army and achieving the rank of Sergeant. He was awarded the Asiatic Pacific Theater Ribbon with two bronze stars. size=2He united in marriage to Eunice Bright in 1949.
