size=2Elna Nance Newton of Campbellsville, daughter of the late J. H. Goff and Virginia Nunn Goff, was born in Marion County, Kentucky, October 17, 1918. She died at 7:10 A.M., Friday, February 1, 2008, in Elizabethtown. Age: 89 size=2She professed faith in Christ and was a long time member of the First United Methodist Church. size=2She was retired from General Telephone Company. size=2She united in marriage to Claude H. Nance February 22, 1934. He preceded her in death April 13, 1966. size=2She later united in marriage to Ralph Newton December 28, 1967. He preceded her in death June 19, 1991. size=2She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Robert B. and Lura A. Nance of Campbellsville; two step-daughters: Linda and Ron Owens of Bradfordsville and Betty Anne Anderson of Campbellsville; two grandchildren: Robert Anthony Nance and wife, Teresa of Hopkinsville and Mrs. Steve ldquo;Greta Jordquo; Smith of Frankfort; two great-grandchildren: Danielle Smith and Clint Smith of Frankfort; five step-grandchildren: David Anderson, Marti Owens and Ron Owens of Campbellsville, James Robert Jordan of Fairborn, Ohio and Laura Owens of Lexington; one brother, Lynwood Goff of Louisville; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends. size=2She was preceded in death by three sisters and one brother: Kathryn Goff, Christine G. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wallace Lee Cox, sons and daughters, Raymond Cox, Jerry Cox, Maurice Dean Cox and Diana Cox, grandchildren, Jeff Cox, Christopher Followell, and Gregory Cox, brothers and sisters, Helen Barr, Ormay Sheryl, Willard Thompson, Edward Thompson, Mabel Thompson and Howard Thompson and son-in-law Billy Followell.
