She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Evelyn Jones. She is survived by her husband, Walter Bell of Nichlosville, one son, James Joseph Sapp of Campbellsville, one daughter, Renee Sapp, Campbellsville, and one step son, Terrence Bell of Campbellsville, three brothers, Danny Jones of Michigan, Jacky Jones of Ohio, Bert Jones of Paducah, four sisters, Edy Atkins of Florida, Ann Wethington of Missouri, Joyce Lantrip of Paducah, Barbara Higgins of Paducah. Private funeral services were conducted at the Lyon DeWitt Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the Brookside Cemetery. Rev. James Washington III, officiating. She died at 9:15 P.M., Thursday, September 13, 2007 in Campbellsville following a lengthy illness. Age: 86 size=3She professed faith in Christ and was a lifelong member of the Campbellsville Baptist Church where she expressed her love for music as church organist for many years. size=3She was a graduate of Campbellsville College and the University of Kentucky. She was retired from Campbellsville City Schools where she was a teacher and guidance counselor. size=3She united in marriage to William Joel Allen July 26, 1940.
