Gilbert Wilson of Campbellsville, son of the late Mack Wilson and Myrtle Wood Wilson, was born May 23, 1912, in Casey County, Kentucky. He died at 11:15 P.M., Thursday, July 19, 2007 in Campbellsville,
Age: 95
He professed faith in Christ and was a member of Green River Memorial Baptist Church.
He was a retired farmer.
He was a veteran of World Ward II having served his country honorably in the United States Army and achieving the rank of Staff Sergeant. He was awarded the European/Asian Middle East Theater Ribbon with three bronze stars, American Defense Service Medal, Purple Heart with one oak leaf cluster and Good Conduct Medal.
He united in marriage to Grace Russell on March 29, 1947.
Besides his wife, Grace Wilson, he is survived by three sons and two daughters and spouses, Barry and Judy Wilson, Pat and Donnie Marcum, Gil and Dianna Wilson, Ronnie and Beverly Wilson and Wanda and David Thompson of Campbellsville; six grandchildren, four step-grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and seven step-great-grandchildren, several other relatives and many friends, three brothers, Buford Wilson, Reed Wilson and Everett Wilson, of Campbellsville.
He was preceded in death by one son, Harold Thomas Wilson, in infancy, and three brothers and one sister: Ralph Wilson, Floyd Wilson, Howard Wilson and Virginia Taylor.

Mabel Frances Johnson Davenport, age 77, died Tuesday, July 18, 2007, at her residence surrounded by her family.
She was the daughter of the late Elijah Durrett and Mabel Graham Johnson. She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Deborah Jean Davenport and one brother, Doug Johnson.
She is survived by her husband, Marion Davenport, one son and three daughters and spouses, Tommy and Barbara Davenport, Marie and Mike Wright and Linda and Lenny Banks all of Campbellsville, and Brenda and Dean Via (V i ) of North Carolina. Eight grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren also survive along with three brothers and three sisters, Bill and Jim Johnson both of Illinois, Emmett Ray Johnson of Arkansas, Lois Burke of Illinois, Barbara Newcomb of Campbellsville and Dorothy Craig of Finley.
Funeral services for Mrs. Frances Johnson Davenport will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, July 20, 2007, at the Lyon-DeWitt Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the Brookside Cemetery.

Nellie Miller of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Frank Skaggs and Mattie Coakley Skaggs, was born September 27, 1909, in Taylor County, Kentucky. She died at 10:50 P.M., Sunday, July 15, 2007 in Campbellsville. Age: 97
She professed faith in Christ and was a member of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church.
She was a retired employee of Fruit of the Loom in Campbellsville.
She united in marriage to Iva Miller on August 5, 1928. He preceded her in death on December 18, 1982.
She is survived by two daughters, Mae and David Martin, and Ivagene DeWitt, of Campbellsville, one granddaughter, Barbara Holbrook, of Chattanooga, Tennessee and one great-great grandson, Tyler Joyce of Lebanon, Ohio; one sister, Emma Allen, of Campbellsville, several other relatives and many friends.
She was preceded in death by two sisters and one brother: Annie Spratt, Mary Lizzie Wright and Robert Skaggs, and one great-granddaughter, Annette Joyce.

Hannah Taylor Hatcher and Rebecca Lynn Hatcher, infant twin girls born to Darin Hatcher and Kathy Bland Hatcher of Raikes Hill Road, Elkhorn, were stillborn on July 7, 2007, in Cincinnati, Ohio.
Beside their parents, Darin and Kathy Hatcher, they are survived by one brother, Samuel Hatcher of Elkhorn; paternal and maternal grandparents; Jim and Kay Hatcher and Randy and Karen Bland of Campbellsville; and two maternal great-grandparents: Sibyl Pepper of Campbellsville and Nancy Bland of Russell Springs; several aunts and uncles and other relatives.

Evelyn Rhodes of Campbellsville, daughter of Agnes Mann Rhodes and the late L.B. Rhodes was born January 27, 1944 in Taylor County, Kentucky. She died at 2:30 A.M., Saturday, June 30, 2007 in Campbellsville. Age: 63
She professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Mannsville United Methodist Church.
She was an employee of Mannsville Sash and Door for some 45 years.
She is survived by her mother, Agnes Rhodes of Campbellsville; one brother and two sisters and spouses: Ann and Robert Underwood and Dean and Sherri Rhodes of Campbellsville and Judy and Winston Keltner of Columbia; one brother-in-law, Fred Witham of Mt. Washington and one sister-in-law, Shelia Moomaw of Shepherdsville; three nieces; seven nephews; two great nieces and one great nephew and many other relatives and friends.
She was also preceded in death by one sister and two brothers: Doris Witham, Larry Rhodes and Bobby Joe Rhodes in infancy.
