Nelda Juanita Campbell Beard, age 79, was born on September 4, 1927, in Taylor County, Kentucky. After a brief battle with lung cancer, Juanita passed away at 7:15 P.M., Thursday, February 22, 2007, at her home, surrounded by her family and friends.She was the daughter of the late Alfonso Hershel Campbell and Maude Florence Bowen Campbell, the youngest of eight children. She was a life long resident of Campbellsville and a direct descendant of Adam Campbell, one of the founders of that city. She was married to W. R. Beard on September 13, 1947, for 59 years, and he survives. She is also survived by one son and two daughters: Darrell Beard, Kaye Potter and husband Steve of Louisville, and Diana Cowden and husband Bruce of Lexington; two grandchildren: Steve Potter, Jr. and wife Heather of Kansas City, Kansas and Natalie Pierce and husband Mark of Atlanta, Georgia; one great-granddaughter, Emma Potter of Kansas City, Kansas; one brother, Paul A. Campbell, Sr. and wife Sharon of Campbellsville; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters: Merlin Campbell, John Campbell, Granville Campbell, Marie Binkley, Lucille Stich and Grace Simpson.Juanita graduated from Campbellsville High School in 1945 where she was a cheerleader for four years. She attended beauty school in Louisville, and returned to Campbellsville where she worked as a beautician at the Campbellsville Beauty Shop. Richard (Rick) Mohon, age 60, of Dogwood Trace, Campbellsville, died Friday, February 23, 2007 at his residence. He was the son of the late Lucillius and Dorothy Mohon. He was retired military and a member of the Asbury Methodist Church.He is survived by his wife, Elise Hogan Mohon of Campbellsville, three sisters, Georgia Allen of Louisville, Sara Brinley of Louisville and Nancy Sims of Shelbyville.Funeral services will be conducted at 11 AM, Monday, February 26, 2007 at the Lyon DeWitt Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the Old Liberty Cemetery with full military honors by Marion County DAV.Rev. Samuel Allen Bright, Jr, age 96 of Elkhorn, died Thursday at his residence.He was the son of the late Samuel Allen and Valeria Bright, Sr. He was preceded in death by his wife, Edith Bright, three brothers and one sister, Douglas Bright, Edward Bright, Marshall Bright and Elizabeth Bright. He was a member of the Meadowview Baptist Church and a retired farmer and carpenter.He is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, George and Floydene Bright of Tennessee, Charles Bright of Frankfort, Robert and Donna Bright of Elkhorn, two daughters and sons-in-law, Betty and Brent Cox of Mannsville, Venita -Bright and Michael Clark of Frankfort, eleven grandchildren, seven step grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren and two step great grandchildren, one sister, Virginia Bright, of Louisville and one sister-in-law, Frances Bright of Campbellsville..Funeral services will be conducted at 11 AM, Saturday at the Lyon DeWitt Funeral Home with burial in the Campbellsville Memorial Garden.Bro. Mary Ina Gabehart, age 91, formerly of Laurel Lane, Campbellsville, died February 20, 2007 at the Medco Nursing Home.She is the daughter of the late James Chapman and Mary Dahoney Browning. She was preceded in death by one brother, Tommy Browning. She was a member of the Woodlawn Christian Church.She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Kathryn and Melvyn Douglas of Campbellsville and Ivy and Joe Fowler of Lebanon.Also surviving are five grandchildren, Billy Joe Douglas of Campbellsville, Sandra McDaniel of Versailles, Gayle Beer and Tammy Allen of Lexington and Tony Fowler of Berea, nine great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren.Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM, Saturday at the Lyon DeWitt Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the Brookside Cemetery.Rev. Lema Ann Summers, age 79, of Hodgenville Road, Campbellsville, died Tuesday, February 20, 2007 at her residence after a short illness.She was the daughter of the late Herbert and Donnie Glover, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Summers, one daughter, Doris Jean Summers, brothers and sisters, Edna Woodrum, Mary Cox, Edith Hicks, Willie Glover and Paul Glover.She was a member of the Grace Missionary Baptist Church.She is survived by five sons and daughters-in-laws, Keith and Teresa Summers, Gary and Connie Summers, Chris Summers of Campbellsville, Timmy Summers and fiancee Debbie Durham of Bowling Green and Kenny and Linda Summers of Arizona.
