Charles Ray Merritt of Old Lebanon Road, Campbellsville, son of the late Edwin C. Merritt and Janie Catherine Herron Merritt Ferren was born June 24, 1940 in Taylor County, Kentucky. He died at 11:15 A.M., Friday, August 25, 2006 in Campbellsville. Age: 66 He professed faith in Christ and was a member of the First United Methodist Church. He was a farmer and retired service station owner. He united in marriage to Mary Martha Spears November 26, 1959. Besides his wife, Mary Martha Merritt of Campbellsville, he is survived by one daughter, Meridith Dawn Merritt of Campbellsville; two grandchildren: Nathaniel Merritt and James Douglass Hare of Campbellsville; one brother and sister-in-law, Bobby and Wanda Merritt; many other relatives and friends.
