Philip J. Mantegna of Clem Haskins Boulevard, Campbellsville, son of the late Philip Joseph Mantegna and Fannie Fornarotto Mantegna was born September 22, 1930 in Belleville, New Jersey. He died at 2:15 P.M., Tuesday, July 11, 2006 in Bardstown. Age: 75 He was a member of St. Bernard Catholic Church. He united in marriage to Betty Lou Doddridge Marcus on November 21, 1958. She preceded him in death October 20, 1979. He is survived by his adopted children, Tony and Brenda DeSpain of Campbellsville. Cremation was chosen. Memorial services to be conducted at a later date. Parrott Ramsey Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Elizabeth Reid, age 79, of Elmhurst Drive, Campbellsville, died Sunday, July 9, 2006 at Taylor Regional Hospital after an illnessShe was the daughter of the late Robert Peterson and Lottie Carroll Peterson Giles. She was born in Taylor County on December 1, 1926. She attended Green River Memorial Baptist Church.She united in marriage to Howard Reid on May 8, 1943 who preceded her in death on January 31, 2002. To this union was born one daughter Patricia Ann Harkless who preceded her in death on November 11, 2003. Also preceding her in death were two sisters, Nadine Barnes, Marie Akridge, three brothers, Jim Peterson, Tom Peterson and John Peterson. She is survived by two grandchildren, Michael (Mike) Harkless of Campbellsville, Stacy (Tyler) Reel of Morgantown, West Virginia , one great grandson Colton Reel of Morgantown, West Virginia.She is survived by two sisters, a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Audrey and Bobby Joe Newcomb of Campbellsville, Margaret Rittenhouse of Logansport, Indiana, Eladean Peterson of Louisville. Also surviving are two brothers-in-law and three sisters-in-law, William and Arlene Reid of Campbellsville, Richard and Beverly Reid of Clinton, Iowa and Dorothy Lear of Louisville. Several nieces, nephews and a host of friends survive.Funeral services for Elizabeth Reid will be conducted at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, July 11, 2006, at the Lyon DeWitt Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in Brookside Cemetery.Rev. Gary Durham, officiating.

Joe C. Holt of Smith Ridge Road, Campbellsville, son of the late Rufus Blaine Holt and Millie Frances Redman Holt, was born in Adair County, Kentucky, February 24, 1919. He died at 11:10 A.M., Saturday, July 8th, 2006, in Radcliff, Kentucky. Age: 87 He professed faith in Christ and was a member of the South Campbellsville Baptist Church. He was a retired employee of Tennessee Gas Transmissions. He was a veteran of World War II, having served his Country honorably in the United States Army and was awarded the American Theater Ribbon, EAME Theater Ribbon with three Bronze Stars, Good Conduct Medal, and the World War II Victory Medal. He united in marriage to Margaret Brockman March 18, 1944. She preceded him in death September 29, 1996.He is survived by four daughters: Bobbie Jo Adams of Louisville, Wanda Farris and husband, Mike of Lebanon and Carol Viers and husband, Daniel and Sheena Mays and husband, Darrell of Campbellsville; ten grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; one sister and one brother: Hattie Thomas and Granville Holt of Bloomington, Indiana; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters: Elmer Holt, Marvin Holt, Lola Bowen, and Lou Vina Overstreet. Elizabeth (Lizzie) Pearl Tennyson, age 81, of Hoskins Street, Campbellsville, died Monday, July 3, 2006 at Taylor Regional Hospital after an illness.She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Mary Brown Elmore and her husband, James R. Tennyson, two brothers, Jesse and Johnny Elmore.
