Katherine PattersonKatherine Patterson, age 86, of Ashley Avenue, Campbellsville, died Monday, in Louisville.She was preceded in death by her parents, Simon and Mackdone Parnell Rodgers, her spouses, Raymond McCubbin (1952), Samuel Hitch (1971) Otha Patterson, (2004), one son, Ivan Eugene McCubbin (1982), six brothers, Vernon , Woodrow, Norville, Gilbert, Gleason and Clifford Rogers and one sister, Mitcheline Hash.She is survived by one son Lewis McCubbin, of Michigan, four daughters, Mary Louise Spencer and Lois Wolford of Ohio, Maxine Hitch of Campbellsville, and Wanda Watson of Louisville, eight step children, Danny, Rodney, Anthony, Otha, Jr. Patterson, Brenda Winn, Nadie Cave and Teresa Tharp, one brother, Odell Rogers, Michigan. Twenty five grandchildren, fifty great grandchildren, several neices, nephews and a host of friends.Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 AM, Wednesday, December 28, 2005 at the Lyon DeWitt Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in Brookside Cemetery.Dr. B. Opal Lewis, age 88, of Hord Street, Campbellsville, died Wednesday, December 21, 2005 at Medco Nursing Home after an illness.She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Susan Morrison Loy of Adair County, one daughter, Brenda Joyce Bishop, five brothers and three sisters, Ezra Loy, Worth Loy, Wayne Loy, Robert M. Loy, William R. Loy, Mattie Coomer, Nannie M. Mandy Morine Drye, age 90, of Old Columbia Road, Campbellsville, died Thursday, December 8, 2005 at Nortons Suburban Hospital in Louisville.She was preceded in death by her parents, Owen and Ethel Evans, her husband, Robert Drye, one son, Roger Drye, one brother, Raymond Evans, one sister, Beulah Drye and one step-sister, Tiny Gerton.She is survived by two sons, Russell Drye of Campbellsville and David Drye of Louisville, one daughter, Evelyn Bates of Cincinnatti. Hazel Hightower Mullen of Ingram Avenue, Campbellsville, daughter of the late Ellis Raymond Hightower and Mamie Alice Case Hightower, was born in Todd County, Kentucky, June 29, 1921. She died at 1:00 P.M., Sunday, December 4, 2005, in Campbellsville. Age: 84 She professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Lowell Avenue Baptist Church. She retired from Fruit of the Loom in Campbellsville in 1986 and has since that time taught over one hundred children in childcare. She united in marriage to Rev. J. V. Mullen Jr. November 4, 1939. Besides her husband, Rev. J. V. Mullen Jr. of Campbellsville, she is survived by three daughters and their husbands: Vivian Mullen Banks and Leonard of Stanford, Kentucky, Nancy Mullen Brockman and Donald of Campbellsville, and Peggy Mullen Boulware and Charlie of Plant City, Florida; four grandchildren: Lynnette Banks Torres and Debbie Banks Gibson of Stanford, Kentucky, John King of Verona, Kentucky, and Bill Shoemaker of Campbellsville; eight great-grandchildren; two brothers and two sisters: David Hightower of Elkton, Kentucky, James Ed Hightower of Russellville, Kentucky, Florine Siemaska of Springfield, Tennessee, and Helen Morine Falting of Waynetown, Indiana; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends. She was also preceded in death by four brothers and one sister: Callie Hightower, Clyde Hightower, Elijah B.
