Carl E. Kovalainen of Palestine Road, Campbellsville, son of the late Charles Kovalainen and Katherine Hoak Kovalainen was bornDecember 6, 1913 in Vancouver, British Columbia. He died at 10:35 P.M. Sunday, August 21, 2005 in Campbellsville. Age: 91 He professed faith in Christ and was of the Lutheran Faith. He was a veteran of World War II having served his country honorably in the United States Army and received the European African Campaign Ribbon, Purple Heart, Combat Infantry Badge, One Battle Star and Good Conduct Ribbon. He united in marriage to Nancy F. Frye July 2, 1975. Besides his wife, Nancy Frye Kovalainen of Campbellsville, he is survived by one step- son, Charles Shields and his wife, Corinne; one step-granddaughter, Nancy D. England of Campbellsville; one sister, Linda Honnakka of Montana; many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by one step-granddaughter, Leslie Anne Clark. GRAVESIDE SERVICES: 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, August 24, 2005 at Brookside Cemetery in Campbellsville by Bro. Erwin Ray. Parrott Ramsey Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

George A. Bloyd of Ford Street, Campbellsville, son of the late Isaac Bloyd and Ermon Bell Bloyd was born July 4, 1917 in Green County, Kentucky. He died at 4:00 A.M., Monday, August 22, 2005 in Campbellsville. Age: 88 He professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. He united in marriage to Icy Mae Elmore December 19, 1936. Besides his wife, Icy Mae Bloyd of Campbellsville, he is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Nancy and Charles Nolley of Campbellsville; two grandchildren: Vincent Nolley and China Nolley of Campbellsville; four great-grandchildren; Crystal Richards, Kyle Tungate, Savanna Nolley and Madalyn Nolley; several nieces and nephews, many other relatives and friends. He was also preceded in death by five brothers and three sisters: John Elliott Bloyd, Rollin Bloyd, Ivan Bloyd, Ed Bloyd, Frank Bloyd, Lillie Marcum Price, Lora Creason and Lizzie Bloyd. Nancy Ballard Hester of Walling Avenue, Campbellsville, daughter of the late Dorsey Shouse and Mayme Callahan Shouse was born in Marion County, Kentucky, May 4, 1936. She died at 7:05 A.M., Saturday, August 20, 2005, in Campbellsville. Age: 69 She professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Lowell Avenue Baptist Church. She is survived by three daughters and sons-in-law: Christy and Sam Hash, Robyn and Steve Gabehart, and Holly and Mike Blair of Campbellsville; five grandchildren: Dylan Hash, Justin Gabehart, Blake Gabehart, Cassidy Gabehart, and Dalton Mullins of Campbellsville; one great-grandson, Kayne Hash of Campbellsville; one brother, Dorsey Shouse Jr. of Maryland; several other relatives and many friends. Sue H. McDaniel of Campbellsville, formerly of Maryville, Tennessee, and Lexington, daughter of the late O.B. Harris and Virginia Murray Harris was born April 6, 1919, in Etowah, Tennessee. She died at 5:20 P.M., Thursday, August 18, 2005 in Campbellsville. Age: 86 She professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Lexington. She retired after working some fifty years as a cosmetologist. She united in marriage to Charles Hampton McDaniel, who preceded her in death March, 1976.She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Carole and Russ Mobley of Campbellsville; five grandchildren: Dr. Gregory Mobley of West Newton, Massachusetts, Jeffrey Mobley of Nashville, Tennessee, Stephanie Woodie of Berea, Suzanne Bennett of Greensburg, and Dr. Joel Mobley of Oxford, Mississippi; thirteen great-grandchildren; one brother, O.B. Harris Jr. of Maryville Tennessee; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends. She was also preceded in death by three sisters: Daphne Townsend, Frances Grosh, and Faye Harris. Lucille A. Montgomery of Campbellsville, was a homemaker and an active member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church devoting her life to her family and church. She united in marriage to Joseph F. Montgomery who preceded her in death. She is survived by four daughters and one son and spouses: Judy and Dennis Surna of Campbellsville, Reginald A. and Aida Montgomery of Mobile, Alabama, Francine and Gary Hatfield of Corydon, Melinda and Charles Tennyson of Campbellsville, and Johnna and Greg Noel of Uniontown; seventeen grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; two sisters and one brother: Georgia Abel of Louisville, Lillian Mattingly of Springfield and David Murphy of Lebanon; several nieces nephews, many other relatives and friends.
