Vernon Murphy of Spurlington Road, Campbellsville, son of the lateJames T. Murphy and Mary Etta Abell Murphy was born March 6, 1936 in Marion County, Kentucky. He died at 1:00 A.M. Wednesday, June 8, 2005 in Campbellsville. Age: 69 He was of the Catholic Faith.He was a retired farmer and sawmill worker. He is survived by three daughters and one son and their spouses: Wilma and Steve Wilson of Campbellsville, Joyce and Patrick Oddson of Odessa, Florida, Dwight and Donna Murphy of Dunnville and Delora and Larry Akin of Campbellsville; ten grandchildren: Brandie Wilson, Matthew Wilson, Jacob Wilson, Joshua Wilson, Damian Fair, Kenny Fair and Shannon Bishop of Campbellsville, Jonathan Oddson of Odessa, Florida, Drema Murphy and Tiffany Murphy of Dunnville; two great-grandchildren: Karah Wilson of Justice, Illinois and Taylor Wilson of Campbellsville; one brother and one sister: Frank Murphy and Lula Hughes of Lebanon; his companion, Audrey Prince of Campbellsville; several nieces and nephews, many other relatives and friends. He was also preceded in death by six brothers and two sisters: Sam Murphy, Bernard Murphy, Charlie Murphy, Bill Murphy, Lawrence Murphy, Joseph Paul Murphy, Irene Daugherty and Mary Price. Robert A. Ayers of Cheyanne Drive, Campbellsville, formerly of Ohio, son of the late George Ayers and Frances Cope Ayers was born February 22, 1926. He died at 2:40 P.M. Wednesday, June 8, 2005 in Campbellsville. Age: 79 He professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Colerain Presbyterian Church in Colerain, Ohio. He was a retired railroad conductor.He united in marriage to Harriett Rosalie Hinerman November 29, 1955.Besides his wife Rose Ayers of Campbellsville, he is survived by one son and one daughter: Robert Ayers of Martins Ferry, Ohio and Pearl Lewis of Campbellsville; three grandchildren: Patrick Ayers of Ohio, Brock Lewis and Clay Robert Lewis of Campbellsville; one brother, Glenn Ayers of Woodsfield, Ohio; several nieces and nephews, many other relatives and friends. Hattie Dicken Bryant of Apache Road, Campbellsville, daughter of the late Johnny Dicken and Elizabeth Annie Reader Dicken was born in Russell County, Kentucky, June 27, 1914. She died at 6:03 A.M., Sunday, June 5, 2005 in Campbellsville. Age: 90 She professed faith in Christ and was a member of Bible Baptist Tabernacle. She is survived by three daughters: Lula Mae Hedgespeth and husband, Forster, Lois Wilcoxson, and Wanda Smith and husband, Don of Campbellsville; daughter-in-law: Beverly Bryant of Bladenboro, North Carolina; twelve grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by one son, John Robert Bryant June 5, 1987; two great-grandchildren; three brothers and three sisters: Bernal Dicken, Willie Dicken, Ivy Dicken, Mattie Spears, Verlie Ross, and Mary Canada.
