Frank D. Nelson of Saloma Road, Campbellsville, son of the lateMalcolm T. Nelson and Dora Mae Clark Nelson was born July 6, 1933 in Green County, Kentucky. He died at 12:38 P.M., Tuesday, March 22, 2005 in Louisville. Age: 71 He professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Good Hope Baptist Church. He was a cast iron molder for many years at a foundry in Illinois and worked at Caron International before retiring in 1994. He united in marriage to Ethel Russell June 19, 1954. Besides his wife Ethel Nelson of Campbellsville, he is survived by three daughters and sons-in-law: Debbie and Mike Janzen of Denver, Colorado, Lori Nelson and Greg Long of Geneva, Illinois and Cheryl and Tim Rerko of Batavia, Illinois; four grandchildren: Bryce Nelson Blatz and Kyle Edward Blatz of Geneva, Illinois, Geddy Ann Rerko and Nelson Timothy Rerko of Batavia, Illinois; four sisters and one brother: Elizabeth Adams of Rock Falls, Illinois, Eva Parker and her husband, Don of Radcliff, Kentucky, Opal Boling and her husband, Darrell of Henderson, Kentucky, Barbara Wry and her husband, Floyd of Cape Coral, Florida and Floyd Nelson of Campbellsville; one special aunt, Margaret Shively of Campbellsville; several nieces and nephews; many other relatives and friends. Joan Velma Stewart, age 73, of Blue Ridge Road, Campbellsville, passed away on March 18, 2005 at Taylor Regional Hospital. She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Velma Pape. She was a member of the Green River Memorial Baptist Church.She is survived by her husband, W. L. Stewart of Campbellsville, one son, Harry Rose of Knoxville, one daughter, Toni Christopher of Greensburg, two step-daughters, Darla Owenby of North Carolina and Saundra Toll of Georgia. Eleven grandchildren, five great grandchildren, two brothers, Jack and Jim Pape of Michigan, along with nieces, nephews and a host of friends survive.Funeral services for Joan Velma Stewart will be conducted at 1:30 PM, Tuesday, March 22, 2005, at the Lyon DeWitt Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in Campbellsville Memorial Gardens.Rev. Eddie Clifton Rhodes, age 70, of South Columbia Avenue, died Sunday, March 20, 2005 at Taylor Regional Hospital.He was preceded in death by his parents Hubert and Betty Rhodes. He was retired from CSX Railroad.He is survived by two sons and one daughter Dwight of Indianapolis, Indiana, Scott Rhodes of Louisville, one daughter Carolyn Strothman of Louisville, one daughter-in-law, Judy Rhodes of Indianapolis, Indiana and one son-in-law, Raymond Strothman of Louisville, five grandchildren, Crystal Rhodes, of Louisville Terea Rhodes, Camille Rhodes,of Indianapolis, Indiana, Travis Wilcox and Crosby Wilcox,of Louisville, one brother and sister-in-law Walter and Laverne Rhodes of Campbellsville.Funeral services for Mr. Eddie Clifton Rhodes will be conducted at 1:00 P.M., Wednesday, March 23, 2005 at the Lyon DeWitt Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in Campbellsville Memorial Gardens. Rev. Dr. L. Rodford McDonald of Shreve Drive, Campbellsville, son of the late Moses Samson McDonald and Ora Mae Malone McDonald was born April 3, 1913, in Taylor County, Kentucky. He died at 9:15 A.M., Saturday, March 19, 2005 in Campbellsville. Age: 91He professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Kentucky Annual Conference and held his charge conference papers at the First United Methodist Church in Campbellsville. He was a retired Methodist minister having served churches in Greenville, Louisville, Glasgow, Cumberland, Russell and Taylor Counties. He was a former District Superintendent of the Campbellsville District. He served as president of Lindsey Wilson College from 1971 to 1978. He graduated from Lindsey Wilson College in 1940 and also holds degrees from Campbellsville University and Asbury College. He attended Candler School of Theology at Emory University and Louisville Presbyterian Theological Seminary. He received honorary doctorate degrees from Kentucky Wesleyan College in 1960 and Lindsey Wilson College in 2004.He was the last surviving grandson of James Wallis McDonald, a Union Soldier who was able to survive the explosion of the steamer Sultana, while returning to Kentucky from a Confederate prison.He united in marriage to Margaret Phillips May 30, 1942.Besides his wife, Margaret McDonald of Shreve Drive, Campbellsville, he is survived by two sisters, Mozelle Hogan of Campbellsville and Helen Hogg of Glasgow; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.He was also preceded in death by two sisters and three brothers: Amelia Gabehart, Kerdieth McDonald, Edward McDonald, Charles

Merlin Ray Gabehart of Red Fern Road, Campbellsville, son of the late E. L. Gabehart and Lennie Combs Gabehart was born March 18, 1938 in Casey County, Kentucky. He died at 12:40 A.M., Saturday, March 19, 2005, in Campbellsville. Age: 67He professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church.He retired from the military after having served his country honorably nine years in the United States Marine Corps and eleven years in the United States Air Force. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War.He was well known as an astute helicopter and automobile mechanic.He united in marriage to Joyce Faulkner June 20, 1959. She preceded him in death April 9, 1998.He united in marriage to Linda Rice Wilkerson, March 1, 2003. Besides his wife, Linda Gabehart of Red Fern Road, Campbellsville, he is survived by one daughter and two sons, Teresa Morris and her husband, Gerald, Greg Gabehart and Michael D.
