Age: 82 He professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Spurlington United Methodist Church. He retired from the United States Postal Service after some thirty-six years of service. After his retirement he owned and operated Bowles Upholstery and Refinishing. He was a veteran of World War II having served his country honorably in the United States Army. He was a recipient of the Asiatic-Pacific Theater Ribbon, Good Conduct Medal and World War II Victory Medal.He was a member of the Pitman Masonic Lodge #124 F. A.M.He united in marriage to Helen Wagoner August 19, 1950. She preceded him in death November 10, 2000. He is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Chip and Linda Bowles; one grandson, Charles Ray Bowles of Louisville; many other relatives and friends.
