Goldie Gooslin of Woodstock, Illinois, formerly of Taylor County, Kentucky, daughter of the late Thomas Crawford and Ella Helton Crawford was born in Ironton, Ohio, April 25, 1917. She died at 7:45 A.M., Tuesday, December 7, 2004 in Illinois. Age: 87 She professed faith in Christ and was of the Holiness faith. She united in marriage to Jesse Gooslin Sr., April 20, 1935. He preceded her in death April 24, 1998. She is survived by seven daughters and three sons: Shirley and Martin Freund of Ingleside, Illinois, Margaret and Lenny Sherman of Wonder Lake, Illinois, Dolores and James Overstreet of Huntley, Illinois, Dottie and Gene Roberts of Hebron, Illinois, Blanche Slaten of Woodstock, Illinois, Shannon and Carl Kraft of Trevor, Wisconsin, Nanette Norris of Columbus, Ohio, Tommy and Tammy Gooslin of Saltillo, Tennessee, Ralph and Joyce Gooslin of McHenry, Illinois, Jesse Jr. and Marie Gooslin of Columbus, Ohio; thirty-one grandchildren, forty-four great-grandchildren and eleven great-great-grandchildren; two brothers and one sister: Mr. Doris Crawford of Des Plaines, Illinois, J. Elizabeth Perkins of Court Street, Campbellsville, daughter of Faye Thomas Phipps Colvin and the late Rev. Richard H. Phipps was born November 20, 1947 in Marion County, Kentucky. She died at 11:40 A.M., Friday, December 10, 2004 in Campbellsville. Age: 57 She professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Green River Memorial Baptist Church.She retired from GTE after many years of service and was a former employee of Green River State Park. She is survived by one daughter Cheryl Perkins; two grandchildren: Dakota Perkins and Brittany Perkins; her mother, Faye Phipps Colvin, two sisters and one brother and their spouses: Linda and Jimmy Milby, Kenneth and Emma Phipps, and Kathy and Timmy George all of Campbellsville; several nieces and nephews; many other relatives and friends. She was also preceded in death by her step-father, Samuel M. Colvin October 19, 1999. Billy Ellis of Riffe Creek Road, Dunnville, son of Louise Ellis Kilby and the late Alton Ellis was born December 1, 1946 in Boyle County, Kentucky. He died at 8:10 P.M., Friday, December 10, 2004 in Louisville. Age: 58He professed faith in Christ and was of the Christian faith. He was an employee of Ingersoll-Rand for thirty-five years. He united in marriage to Regena Goode Witham November 22, 1991. Besides his wife Regena Ellis of Dunnville, he is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and David Pyles of Parksley, Virginia; two grandchildren: Lacee Pyles and Grant Pyles of Parksley, Virginia; his mother, Louise Kilby of Dunnville; one sister, Betty Giles and her husband, Arthur of Campbellsville; one step-brother, Douglas I. Herman L. Patton of South Clark Road, Campbellsville, son of the late Willie Patton and Ethel Brown Patton was born July 6, 1929 in Casey County, Kentucky He died at 9:00 P.M., Saturday, December 11, 2004 in Huntington, West Virginia. Age: 75 He professed faith in Christ and attended Pleasant Hill Baptist Church.He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict having served his country honorably in the United States Army. He was a member of the Honorable Order of Kentucky Colonels. He was a carpenter and enjoyed farming. He was employed at General Electric in Evendale, Ohio as a welder on jet engines for some thirty-five years.He united in marriage to Nora Garrett April 27, 1953. Besides his wife, Nora Patton of Campbellsville, he is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Dr. Gary and Mabel Patton of Rush, Kentucky; two grandchildren: Monica and James Howell of Concord, North Carolina, and Kyle Patton and his girlfriend, Jeni of Huntington, West Virginia; one great-grandson, James Logan Howell of Concord, North Carolina; one brother and five sisters: Dr. Paul W. and Carol Patton of Campbellsville, Hilda Ellis of Jamestown, Shirley and William Hansford of Liberty, Helen and Marvin Meredith and Wanda and Gary Fredrick of Cincinnati, and Thelma and Don Garcia of Fallbrook, California; several nieces and nephews, many other relatives and friends. Mrs. Needham graduated from Western Kentucky University, in 1945, where she received a degree in education and a minor in chemistry. She worked as a chemist with TVA and Auburn She also taught in West Virginia. She was united in marriage to Robert Needham in September of 1945. They came to Campbellsville in 1952 and she lived in Campbellsville until January of 2000 when she moved to Kansas City to be near her daughter. Mrs. Needham was a strong Christian and a member of the Bethel First Presbyterian Church for many years. She was active in many charities and organizations, Daughter of the American Revolution, Kentukcy Colonel, member of the American Association of University Women and American Business Womens
