Nettie Page of Sharon Drive, Campbellsville, daughter of the late Joe Karnes and Florence Johnson Karnes was born March 22, 1912 in Taylor County, Kentucky. She died at 12:15 P.M., Sunday, September 12, 2004 in Campbellsville. Age: 92She professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Spurlington United Methodist Church. She was a retired employee of Fruit of The Loom.She united in marriage to Johnie Page, February 12, 1931. He preceded her in death January 15, 1989. She is survived by one son and two daughters: Richard Page and his wife, Brenda of Louisville, Naomi Benningfield and her husband, Lyndon of Campbellsville and Mayme Gilbert of Greenwood, Indiana; seven grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter, Layla Michelle Dillman; two sisters: Ada Hedgespeth of Campbellsville and Maudie Bowman of Greenwood, Indiana; Special Caregivers: Fredia Thompson, Carolyn Spurling, Diane Neace and Theresa Gribbins; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends. She was also preceded in death by several brothers and sisters and one son-in-law, Billy Gilbert. Martha Coakley Carroll of River Bend, North Carolina, formerly of Campbellsville was born October 7, 1931 in Taylor County, Kentucky. She died Tuesday, September 14, 2004 in North Carolina. Age: 72 She professed faith in Christ and was a devoted member of First Baptist Church of New Bern, North Carolina and a deacon within the Baptist Church. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend.She is survived by her husband of fifty-one years, Retired Lt. Colonel Gerald Donaldson Carroll of River Bend, North Carolina; two daughters and one son: Susan Carroll Gleaton and her husband Vernon, and Pamela Carroll Lamanti of Lake Ridge, Virginia, and Gerald Anthony Carroll and his wife Heather of Woodbridge, Virginia; seven grandchildren: Jason Gleaton, Elizabeth Mathewson, Jessica, Cassandra and Nicholas Lamanti, Delaney and Keagan Carroll; four great-grandchildren; two sisters: Virginia Coakley McMahan and Ann Coakley DeSpain and her husband Joe of Campbellsville; a brother-in-law, Kenneth Carroll and his wife, Hilda of Campbellsville; several nieces and nephews, many other relatives and friends. Lloyd Ray Osborne of Louisville, formerly of Campbellsville, son of the late Jesse Osborne and Emma Bault Obsorne was born November 13, 1942 in Taylor County, Ky. He died Tuesday, September 14, 2004 in Louisville. Age: 61 He professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Iroquois Presbyterian Church.He was a retired real estate broker. He is survived by his wife, Ruby Osborne of Louisville; two daughters: Kathy Hurst and Mitzi Garrison of Louisville; four grandchildren; one brother and three sisters: Donnie Osborne, his twin sister, Kaye Hudgins, Jane Moore and Jessie Lee all of Campbellsville; several nieces and nephews, many other relatives and friends. Cremation was chosen. A memorial service was held at 4:00 P.M., Thursday, September 16, 2004 at the Iroquois Presbyterian Church in Louisville. Family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the Bethel First Presbyterian Church in Campbellsville.

John Elmer AllenJohn Elmer Allen, age 82, of Beartrack Road, Campbellsville, died Wednesday, September 15, 2004 at the Audobon Hospital in Louisville after an illness.He was the son of the late John and Rebecca Allen of Larue County. He was a retired school janitor in Lynwood Indiana. He was preceded in death by five sisters, Nora Vaughn, Elsie Price, Novella Perkins, Dorene Durham and Frona Burress, one brother, Everette Allen.He is survived by his wife, Sarah Allen, four sons and daughters-in-law, James Everette Allen, Dean and Tracy Allen of Campbellsville, Bobby and Virginia Allen and Danny Allen of Indiana, five daughters and sons-in-law, Betty and Wayne Emerson of Campbellsville, Rebecca and Charlie Emery, Tonda and Cliff Cooper, Phyllis and Bryan Lee and Brenda Allen all of Indiana, Twenty-five grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren, three brothers, Henry Allen, Creed Allen and James Allen all of Campbellsville along with a host of friends.Funeral services for John Elmer Allen were conducted at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, September 18, 2004 at the Lyon-DeWitt Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Otter Creek Separate Baptist Church Cemetery in Larue County.Rev.
