Lillian Bale Johnson of Forrest Avenue, Campbellsville, daughter of the late Guy M. Bale and Cora Whitlow Bale was born February 28, 1921 in Green County, Kentucky. She died at 1:58 A.M., Wednesday, August 25, 2004 in Elizabethtown. Age: 83 She professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Campbellsville Baptist Church.She was a librarian and educator for some forty-three years, thirty-five of which were served in the Campbellsville Independent School System. She united in marriage to Woodrow Johnson March 12, 1939. He preceded her in death May 20, 1969. She is survived by two brothers: Earl Bale of Louisville and Benny W. Bale of Hodgenville; several nieces and nephews; many other relatives and friends.She was also preceded in death by one brother, Curtis Bale.MEMORIAL SERVICES: 2:00 P.M., Friday, August 27, 2004 at Campbellsville Baptist Church by Rev. Skip Alexander BURIAL: Pleasant Valley Baptist Church Cemetery. Sue Skaggs McKinley of Plainview Drive, Campbellsville, daughter of the late Albert Leslie Skaggs, Sr., and Katherine Laha Skaggs was born April 25, 1933 in Green County, Kentucky. She died at 1:03 A.M. Tuesday, August 31, 2004 in Campbellsville. Age: 71 She professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Campbellsville Christian Church. She was a retired teacher having taught in the Campbellsville Independent School System for twenty-seven years. She united in marriage to Charles McKinley June 4, 1952. Besides her husband Charles McKinley of Campbellsville, she is survived by two sons and one daughter: Mike McKinley and his wife Nancy of Rochester, Minnesota, Janie Ellis of Columbia and Jeff McKinley and his wife Jane of Ringgold, Georgia; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; three sisters and one brother: Dorothy Stephens and Sally Johnson of Louisville, Virginia Matthews of Greenville, North Carolina and Kenneth Skaggs of Florida; several nieces and nephews, many other relatives and friends. Velma Shofner of Sprowles Ridge Road, Campbellsville, daughter of the late Dee Underwood and Nora Jones Underwood was born May 18, 1925 in Larue County, Kentucky. She died at 1:55 A.M., Tuesday, August 31, 2004 in Campbellsville. Age: 79 She professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Zion Separate Baptist Church. She united in marriage to John B. Shofner February 14, 1946. He preceded her in death August 13, 1979.She is survived by two daughters and one son and their spouses: Maxine and Garnett Durham, Helen and Larry Sprowles and J.
