Bessie Thompson of Smith Ridge Road, Campbellsville, daughter of the late Lewis Whitlock and Mary French Whitlock was born November 18, 1916 in Marion County, Kentucky. She died at 10:06 A.M., Thursday, January 22, 2004, in Campbellsville. Age: 87 She professed faith in Christ and attended Robinson Creek Baptist Church. She was retired from Fruit of the Loom in Campbellsville. She united in marriage to Jimmie Thompson, December 31, 1938. He preceded her in death August 20, 1978.She is survived by seven children and their spouses: Gilbert and Rosie Thompson, Jean and Jodie Burkhead, Becky and Bill Spratt, Patricia and Donnie Gray, Terry and Betty Thompson, Phillip and Pam Thompson, and Hilda Bell and friend Mike Maupin all of Campbellsville; twelve grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; four sisters: Jesse Harris, Ermine Harris, Hallie Harris, and Tillie Allen of Campbellsville; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends. She was also preceded in death by one son-in-law, Gary Lynn Bell; seven brothers and sisters: Ardie Mae Underwood, Flora Thompson, Arvin Ray Whitlock, Lewis Whitlock, Jr., Virgil Lee Whitlock, Ben Whitlock, and a brother in infancy. Ann Mary (Gaddie) Huff of Miller Road, Campbellsville, daughter of the late Joe B. Gaddie and Lyda Spillman Gaddie was born April 10, 1926, in Taylor County, Kentucky. She died at 11:45 P.M., Thursday, January 22, 2004, in Campbellsville. Age: 77 She professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Hogards Chapel United Methodist Church for many years.She was retired from Western Electric Company in Indianapolis, Indiana.She united in marriage to James Huff June 11, 1945. He preceded her in death May 12, 1999. She is survived by two nieces: Ruth Ann Wilson and husband Clarence, and Betty Gaddie of Campbellsville; one brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Henry and Doris Huff of Campbellsville; one great-niece, Kathy Ann Wilson of Campbellsville; one great-nephew, Dr. George Edwin Wilson of Winter Park, Florida; many other relatives and friends.She was preceded in death by one brother, George Gaddie. Mary Bagby of Center Street, Campbellsville, daughter of the late Roy Monroe Sanders and Matra Nell Garnett Sanders was born November 11, 1922, in Taylor County, Kentucky. She died at 5:00 A.M., Friday,January 23, 2004, in Campbellsville. Age 81 She professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church. She was retired from Fruit of the Loom in Campbellsville. She united in marriage to Bernard Bagby February 27, 1961. He preceded her in death April 16, 1997. She is survived by two children: Bobby Akin of Campbellsville and Ruth Ann Akin of Louisville; five grandchildren: Mary Lynn Johnson, Scott Robertson and D. J. Robertson of Louisville, Pearl Piedad and Jamie Piedad of Lexington; a special great-granddaughter, Victoria McAfee of Campbellsville; seven other great-grandchildren: Zach Robertson, Jassamine Robertson, Collin Robertson, and Hailey Robertson of Louisville, Angel Newton of Campbellsville, Kayla Lambert of Lexington and Kasey Johnson of Louisville ; three sisters: Irene Meadows and Helen Jackson of Ohio, and Dorothy Forester of Louisville; a special friend, Kim McAfee of Campbellsville; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
