Henry Shreve of West Saloma Road, Campbellsville, son of the late Rufus Shreve and Pearl May Shreve was born May 14, 1918, in Taylor County, Kentucky. He died at 10:30 A.M., Wednesday, October 23, 2002, in Campbellsville. Age: 84He had professed faith in Christ and attended St. Marks United Methodist Church.He was a life long farmer operating the family farm with his son, Ricky.He was a veteran of World War II having served his country honorably in the United States Army.He united in marriage to Virginia Kathryn Carroll April 2, 1945. She preceded him in death April 15, 1993. He is survived by two sons and two daughters: Ricky Shreve, David Shreve and his wife, Glenda, and Judith Dorris of Campbellsville, and Kay Hudson and her husband, Bob of Louisville; three grandchildren: Shelby Shreve, Nathan Shreve and Stephen Dorris of Campbellville; one brother and two sisters: Rollin Shreve of Florida, Frances Bright of Campbellville, and Lena May Phillips of Louisville; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends. Edna Chapell of Spurlington Road, Campbellsville, daughter of the late Chaney Davis and Ethel Head Davis was born January 22, 1917, in Taylor County, Kentucky. She died at 10:00 P.M., Friday, October 18, 2002, in Campbellsville. Age: 85.She had professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Barren County Primitive Baptist Church.She united in marriage to Ralph Chapell April 11, 1936. Russell N. Bryant of Matthew Street, Campbellsville, son of the late Carlie Bryant and Nona Belle Neat Bryant, was born in Adair County, Kentucky, September 7, 1920. He died at 10:30 P.M., Monday, October 14, 2002, in Elizabethtown. Age: 82He had professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Campbellsville Christian Church.He was a retired employee of Fruit of the Loom in Campbellsville.He united in marriage to Edna Giles December 27, 1937. She preceded him in death August 30, 1997.He is survived by three daughters: Louise Croslin of Russellville, Jane Bryant of Bowling Green, and Brenda Worful of Louisville; nine grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; three brothers and one sister: Herbert Bryant and Coy Bryant of Campbellsville, Layton Bryant of Michigan City, Indiana, and Levona Borrows of Boynton Beach, Florida; and several other relatives and many friends. Bernice Hayes of Hayes Road, Elkhorn, daughter of the late Dewey Herron and Della Cox Herron was born in Taylor County, Kentucky, May 7, 1928. She died at 10:40 A.M., Sunday, October 13, 2002, in Louisville, due to injuries received from an automobile accident that occurred October 4th. Age: 74She had professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Stoner Creek United Methodist Church.She was a retired employee of Fruit of the Loom in Campbellsville.She united in marriage to Delmar Hayes March 27, 1943. He preceded her in death October 4, 2002, due to injuries received in the same accident.She is survived by one son and three daughters: Carroll R. Hayes and Vivian Cochran of Elkhorn and Delilah Cruse and Tonya Crain of Buffalo; ten grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; one sister, Helen Whitledge of Evansville, Indiana; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.She was also preceded in death by two sisters and one brother: Ruth Cox, Margaret Bays and Carl W.
